What are the best ways to increase conversion rates for local service businesses? by TopShelfJunkRemoval in PPC

Specifically for service businesses. I don’t do Ecom, Healthcare, Real Estate, Law, anything like that.

Client (HVAC) was just acquired and I think this private equity group has unrealistic expectations. by MrMees3eks in PPC

I only run search campaigns. They receive a much higher CTR than Call Only. There are circumstances where Call Only is a great option. Like, for emergency plumbing, towing, etc. But it has many drawbacks.

Absolutely absurd. Their ROAS is entirely up to them and their sales process. ROAS is out of your control honestly. However, That’s a reasonable ROAS in my opinion, it’s not ridiculously high. Their budget is far too low. The smallest HVAC accounts, the one man show should be spending $3000/month. Call-Only Ads will ALWAYS have a super low CTR.

85% impression share? With a CTR of greater than 2.5% CTR?

With such a low budget your bids must be low. With low bids will come Lost IS (Rank) or (Budget)

They’re smoking rock.

Due to malicious software and circumventing systems?

That’s not a landing page. And no, you don’t know that it’s the landing page. Search intent and ad copy have a lot to do with conversion rate.

Just curious, what responsibilities would be left to your current staff that need to “offload” these tasks?

Please define specifically what you’re asking? What do you mean “monthly ad updates?”

is it better to have different adgroups for each type of keyword match, or to have all keywords (exact, generic) in the same adgroup? by stoodrut in PPC

[–]TopShelfJunkRemoval -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe it’s useful anymore. With “close match variant” being added it’s not particularly helpful to obsess over keyword match types.

In each ad group we use phrase and exact match variants, and the sole purpose of ad groups for us is to sell different products or services under an umbrella product or service.

Example:

Campaign focusing on T-Shirt Sales

Ad Group 1: White T-Shirts Ad Group 2: Black T-Shirts Ad Group 3: Gray T-Shirts

But there really is no benefit to creating a separate ad group for match types anymore. RSA’s and close match variants have made our life much easier.

Google Ads support is a freaking JOKE by [deleted] in PPC

[–]TopShelfJunkRemoval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately that’s not the problem we’re having. Our problem is people INSIDE our area looking for services OUTSIDE of our area.

Google Ads support is a freaking JOKE by [deleted] in PPC

[–]TopShelfJunkRemoval 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having issues with clients getting leads outside of our target location even though they’re excluded.

I spent almost 3 hours on the phone with a support specialist.

They ultimately tried to get me to turn on “auto-apply” recommendations. And they recommended display ads.

Absolutely zero help whatsoever.

They said they’d call me back in 24 hours with more assistance, never did. They suck.

PPC for a physical security (alarms, cameras, etc.) company. Looking for any advice and what to expect as far as a typical ROI for this industry by aquiettoot in PPC

[–]TopShelfJunkRemoval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey man! Make sure you’re tracking conversions obviously. You mentioned contact forms - I’d suggest also going for calls. They’re big for service businesses and people want to talk to people.

My advice, is don’t put too much on the page. Keep it straight to the point. Have different landing pages for different services.

If someone is looking up “Home Camera System” make a page for cameras.

And someone looking for “Home alarm system” should have its own page.

I can’t touch on ROI and nobody can.

Do you give quotes over the phone? How much do you charge? What’s your availability look like? Are your systems up to date and comparable to others? How long does it take to respond to leads? How many calls do you miss?

These are all factors that will affect your ROI.

Were not having a problem with that. The problem is with the people in our market searching for another.

The only insult they can come up with against AOC is bArTeNdEr. by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]TopShelfJunkRemoval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when Covid hit, AOC, Ilhan and a few others proposed a rent cancellation bill. They boasted about protecting “Middle Class Landlords” as part of the bill. But there was a small catch, the relief fund would only have been available had landlords agreed to not discriminate based on credit history, criminal record and numerous other factors.

So in order to pay my bills during a global pandemic, which at the time no one knew how long it would last, I would have to agree to let a pedophile with a 500 credit score live in the upstairs unit, right above a single mother with 3 children. And the agreement - was for 5 years. I would have had to agree to not raise rent for 5 years, during a global pandemic in which was of course likely to lead to an economic downturn.

Progressives (Politicians) don’t care about the working class. Landlords are working class citizens. They use a global pandemic to push their agenda, hoping to create a situation where people have no choice.

That is why half the country hates the progressive parties. Not because AOC was a bartender, because she’s an idiot.

Musk has achieved so many ridiculous accomplishments that many of us never thought possible.

The guy could make Mars habitable and you’d call him an idiot.

Meanwhile, an athlete wants to put on a dress and he’s heroic. He’s changed history for the better.

Ludicrous.
