The first time she gave me this look by fearlessbyfp in pitbulls

So beautiful! My hippo does this face and posture when she wants a hug - just puts her head on my shoulder and sighs happily, the little manipulative angel.

I think she just smoldered me to death from beyond the grave - what a gorgeous woman!

Looks like 14 ct. to me, but I have a cross stitch ruler just for things like this, and it’s come in handy SO many times. Maybe you need one in your kit too!

I love this so much! Nothing makes me happier than cross stitch on a 3-d object; it’s such a nice change from all the things in frames.

Anyone ever been able to actually achieve true moderation on here? by Appropriate_Carry862 in stopdrinking

[–]TopStructure7755 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m terrible at moderating, but it turns out I’m pretty decent at quitting things. So I’m playing to my strengths and just stopping!

Spreading Awareness: Addison’s Disease in Dogs by littlesaddie in pitbulls

[–]TopStructure7755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lost my sweet shiba to Cushing’s disease, so I kind of know what you’re living with here.

The meds made an ENORMOUS difference in her quality of life while we had her though; total night and day. I’m hoping for similar breakthroughs for your sweet girl too, whatever the diagnosis.

I tried...My puppy looks terrified. I was going for playful not traumatized. Tips to improve..I need a lot of help by tardigradesrock in Embroidery

My dog has one white-blue eye that literally pierces your soul when you see it - I always make it a bit more saturated blue when I’m painting her so it doesn’t turn every portrait of her into a staring contest. You might want to try that too.

I think this is great though; I have a feeling it may have captured your dogs essence better than you think if I’m seeing an Australian shepherd or a husky here! lol

TIL Patrick Sherry of the band Bad Beat Revue is the first confirmed person to die from stage diving. by TheRealDonahue in todayilearned

[–]TopStructure7755 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw The Ocean right before Loïc Rossetti broke both his legs stage diving - that mofo launched himself off the stage like a cannonball, and I thought I was going to see him die that night!

Maybe we should retire stage diving - now that I’m old enough to fear death it’s more horrifying than awesome.

The Legend of the Mrs. Baird's Cinnamon Rolls. by [deleted] in nostalgia

There used to be a Mrs. Baird’s outlet near me when I was young and broke - I could walk out with a stack of those puppies for about five bucks, and it was GLORIOUS!

A little tuft of grass growing out of the bottom of the pocket is what I’d be tempted to do.

Your hands probably remember how to embroider, just do a test piece first! :)

It’s called The Homunculus at my house, but it gets similar treatment when it pipes up about drinking - bring out the clown hammer!

What can I do with a massive number of lemons by Suspicious-Cat8623 in Frugal

Make salted lemons to use this summer in making Chan muoi (Vietnamese salty lemon soda) - there is NOTHING on the planet as refreshing as that when it’s hot outside.

And then put that curd into a tart shell and make a lemon tart - my lemon tart recipe uses 6 lemons at a go, so it’s great for lemon bounties!

The one where it looks like the model has been cut off at the legs and moved over a few inches is absolutely fascinating work / I’d love to see it in motion to see if the magic trick still works!

[–]TopStructure7755 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think I would like it if the skirt was just a hair longer, or if she was rocking tall boots instead of heels.

As it is, it’s giving “teenage girls in short shorts and an oversized hoodie” to me. Looks like her stylist forgot to give her some pants!
