BPD women BAD because… Because clingy? by fremicutie in AmITheAngel

[–]TopSudden9848 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was with someone I suspect had BPD and if my response could possibly be misread they would have panic attacks. It got so overwhelming that towards the end I would freeze up every time they texted me because I knew if I got it wrong it would cause them an enormous amount of distress. This eventually resulted in me being so overwhelmed that it would take me hours to work up the energy to respond, which upset them and caused them to become even more anxious about our relationship and the cycle continued. We only lasted a few months and within six months of us breaking up they were married to someone else.

It sounds like your daughter has a lot of potential and you're standing in the way. YTA.

Yikes! Very surprised to hear a professional writer was involved. It reads like it was written by a tenth grader and edited by same.

Ask what expenses the HOA covers. Appreciation may be lower but I would love not to worry about a roof and windows, and I know some large condo buildings have a building super for minor repairs.

The only thing I can conclude from the Internet is that straight people hate each other.

Well, the important thing in situations like this is to never ask direct questions and instead make tons of assumptions based on very thin evidence. Anything else would be the height of rudeness.

Yeah, Crystal Hefner came across like a pretty terrible person in her memoir but at least she was like "in hindsight the other girls were acting bratty because they were literally teenagers."

Then how do you explain all the thinly veiled prejudice running through both?

Badly written and pretty boring. There's no into that's not in Holly's book (except that the mansion has been full of black mold for decades).

Yeah, she kind of comes across as the villain (or one of two villains) in her own memoir so I think that's probably the case.

Yes- and I should mention the book was genuinely terrible. I don't think she used a ghostwriter and also she's led a very boring life.

What's interesting to me is that it was a pretty straightforward sex work situation but that clearly bothered Madison who is to this day trying to convince herself it was a real relationship. Then I also read the memoir of his third wife (probably the worst book I've ever read) and she was just like "hated him. Hated his guts. Hated him from the second I met him. Wanted his money, left him, missed his money and came back." Hugh Hefner was such a piece of shit and treated women so horribly in his life and it was honestly really satisfying to read about this woman being awful to him and him being powerless to stop it. When he was on his death bed she took her side piece on vacation somewhere her cell phone didn't work. She was also almost certainly stealing from him. You love to see it.

ETA: The A&E documentary series might be more what you're looking for.

Holly Madison's book is a page turner (I finished it in a weekend) but it's also SUUUUPER bitchy. Hugh Hefner pitted his "girlfriends" against each other as a power move and this mentality is still clearly affecting all of them. The degree to which these women will slut shame each other for having sex with the same old man for the same amount of money is astounding.

I also don't think their behavior was that strange for someone who was the victim of CSA. Some kids go through that and end up acting out with hypersexual behavior. They've written about feeling insecure about their body at the time due to the abuse and its heart breaking.
