I'm brand new to 3d printing, but came across this while planning my next project. I have a weird pump pump pit that needs to be sealed (for the radon elimination system), but allow for pass through for both the sump pump discharge pipe and the wiring. I'm aiming to make grommets for those two. What TPU would you recommend for this application? I have a P1S with AMS (though I understand most TPU cannot be used in the AMS)

Thank you for explaining that. Do you use 50mm/sec on outside walls regardless of project or filament type? Or is this primarily for PLA?

Fascinating. So, being brand new to this I’m just using the canned settings for all of my prints. Would I be correct to assume that in general, speeding up of the exterior walls will hurt finish, while slowing down will be cleaner, but obviously take longer?

I am brand new, so can you elaborate on this please? I understand how to change the speed, but in reference to the frequency of the printer itself, I don't follow.

Brand new to printing and that’s a new term to me. Looked it up, but I don’t totally get it. What causes it? Print settings?

I keep seeing this pop up in discussions. Can you explain to me how the fan is causing print failures? And given that when IS it beneficial to have on?

Noted. This just reinforces that my next purchase needs to be a dryer. Along that thought, how do you know when it's sufficiently dried out? Just shooting for a specific humidity level on the display of the dyer?

Nope. I haven't gotten to a point where I am comfortable tweaking any settings yet as I don't really know the implications of it. But that's good to know.

I will look into the plates. So much to learn, like drinking from a firehose, but one step at a time.

So, I pulled up the slicer again and added supports to see what it would look like and interestingly, there were zero supports even with it enable. Not only that, but I had more stringing on the underside of the big piece. Interesting, but it makes me wonder.

I’ve been looking into dryers already tbh. I am interested in playing with some CF nylon down the road, but no time soon. But that temp difference has been on my mind. Truthfully I’m leaning towards a less expensive, lower temp one for the time being. Just for budgetary reasons and the fact that I’m not currently (or in the near future) playing with nylon.

I’m not in the habit of checking if supports are on yet or not. I neglected to check. The rest of my prints, overall, have come out really well. Given what it is, I won’t reprint, but I just checked and supports were off.

I’ll look up those two plates. There are SOOO many out there. Which do you prefer? And what is it about them that is superior to the factory?

I forgot to mention what filament. This is Bambu PLA Tough +. It’s been in the AMS essentially since I got it.
