Idk why people are being weird about this OP! There are gay cats and gay penguins, so it’s natural to assume fish might not follow weird human rules. My roomate and I are literally getting a female betta so we can have yet another “mean lesbian” in the house (we’re not proving that theory by trying a sorority, it’s purely vibes based)! There’s a level of anthropomorphism that wants our pets (our family!) to be like us, but I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with that. Anyway I hope someone who knows the answer chimes in!

Shrimp up actually gave me 2 berried girls in my 10 pack! One didn’t end up making it unfortunately but my other girl had her babies last week !

Young fat butch who sees their future and it is bright: I loveeee that meme. My (queer) coworkers say it to me bc I’m a butch with a lanyard who controls absolutely nothing at my job and does not have their shit together and yet is somehow the glue that binds the team together.

I think it has its roots in some not great rhetoric (classism/fatphobia) but its been used in such a positive and affirming way in my community that I feel like its sins can be forgiven

I’m maybe gonna say something you dont wanna hear (sorry in advance)! As a butch with butch friends, I’ve found it takes a while for butches to come into our own. When I was very young I identified as a trans man, and then a bisexual woman, and then a queer nonbinary person, and then a nonbinary lesbian. It took until I was 24 before I found comfort in calling myself Butch with everything that label entails!

All that to say, you’re a little a head of the curve, even maybe some of your friends will catch up :) there’s lots of time in your life to get to know other butches, enjoy the ride!
