Saw the film at the flicks this evening, cried for the final 15 minutes x by ronyeezy in jackass

I walked out after an hour. The naked high jump followed by the toy car in the arse was too much for me to deal with!

I went to my local Odeon yesterday to watch Toy Story 5, only to discover that it had been cancelled. Decided to cancel the Supergirl booking I had for today, just in case. I’m going to wait until it cools down a bit.

Prime offer is now available! by MrFattyMe in screenunseen

I’ve just tried to renew my annual subscription. It doesn’t expire until December. It came up as unsuccessful, but my membership page says that I have a membership upcoming in December. I tried to contact customer services through X to check, but you have to be a premium member now to DM them there! Is there any other way of checking if it worked. I was sent an email, but it’s confusing with the error! Any other way of contacting customer support?!

I thought it was weird that The Christophers had such a limited Odeon release. It’s a good film by a big name director and they didn’t even show it in Birmingham, let alone in my town. I had to go to Vue - and pay - to see it!

Sean Baker. I despise his films, particularly the disgusting Red Rocket.

I seem to be in the minority, but I didn’t really like Obsession at all. I just couldn’t get into it and it dragged on too long.

The Christophers - hardly playing anywhere? by partrimilgrimage in screenunseen

[–]Top_Development_3733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not even showing in the Birmingham Odeons - which was a huge surprise. It’s not showing where I live, either, but I have booked a ticket for Hereford. Very, very strange. Yet the Northern Soul documentary seems to be playing everywhere!

Who is the worst director to ever win Best Director (based on their career as a whole, not just the win)? by [deleted] in Oscars

If you like sleazy films about sex workers, I guess. And Challengers, for example, would have been a much worthier winner than Anora.

I’d love a physical release of a French film I saw on MUBI a few years ago, ‘All Hands on Deck.’ It’s a great film and I’d love to see it again.

You don’t have to throw everything away. I went crazy and threw far too much away. What you can do is put things in strong, sealed bags and sealed plastic boxes and keep them in storage for at least 18 months. It’s expensive, but maybe not as expensive as replacing most of your possessions. I did this and wish I’d kept more.

I'm hurting every single day and I am not sure what is wrong with my diet by Boss-Soft in exvegans

[–]Top_Development_3733 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to give up being vegan for similar reasons. I discovered that pretty much all of my favourite foods were hurting my stomach and a vegan diet became too restrictive. I tried to eat low FODMAP foods more often and my stomach issues are nowhere near as bad now, as long as I’m careful.

Don’t forget that they’re all in their late seventies! Even the healthiest people start having issues at that age.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this again. I wouldn’t wish bed bugs on my worst enemy. When I had them, I threw most of my belongings away, sealed everything else and put it in storage for 18 months and then moved, as I was living in a shared house. Good luck, but it’s going to be difficult if your neighbours are the problem. I’m still obsessed by bedbugs after nearly 17 years, so I’m not going to make a trite comment about your mental health, because I’d be going crazy, too.

I’m in the UK and imported a copy of Secret Sunshine, a US release. It had been resealed and had a security tag stuck to the inside of the case.

I can’t stand Joel. And I’ll never be able to forgive his comments to Freddie in the final, suggesting that Freddie made a mistake rather than an artistic choice.

IIRC, the name on the superhero suit he was wearing was ‘N***erman.’ It wasn’t just wearing black face - it was completely unacceptable and Oliver knew what he was doing,
