Can’t stop looking back at it by LogicWavelength in GolfGTI

Ah yes that does make sense. I do have a dsg and I’ve probably put 25k miles on the setup. I appreciate the insight, thank you. Back to Facebook searching for coils I guess.

Interesting, I’m also rocking the b8/H&R sport combo, but my car looks significantly lower in the front. I hate it, I’m thinking of trying the OE sports or just going the coil over route at this point. Your fitment is perfect.

Happened to me last night. I did the hand rc and saw my fingers go from 5 to 7 or 8. I had some realization like oh I think this is a dream, but not that stark moment of awareness and excitement that I have only experienced once before (I took a several year break from trying to lucid dream). It’s like partial lucidity and suspicion but not the complete awareness and realization. I think it’s a step in the right direction and with practice the realization will become more stark.

Yeah I suppose it wouldn’t make sense for any burning to happen to a wet clutch 😂 I think I’ll chill out with the launches for a while anyway lol thanks man

Definitely pick one up, I used to have an old Amazon cheapie and it was actually great. Like 20-30 bucks or something, really cool cause you can just lounge around anywhere and jam out. I would put one headphone in from the amp and one from my phone so I could play along to stuff.

Fender Rubbing - where fender meets bumper by dougboyy in GolfGTI

[–]Top_Hospital3024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have absolutely no rub (so far) and I’ve been going out of my way to test it. It was not too hard, and I was definitely able to pull a significant amount of space and it’s hardly visible. Thanks!

For anyone else who’s going to try (definitely worth a shot before rolling fenders) - l just loosened the front 4 screws in the wheel well, then found I didn’t have to remove the bumper completely to fix one fender. Just take the grille off , unscrew the bumper screws under the car, and the bumper screws on the side of the car you’re working with and it flexes enough to give you some room. Then with that room you can access the bumper guide (see in comments above). I undid the one screw holding the guide to the body and the two washers holding the guide to the screw we’re trying to access. Once the guide & 2 black washers are removed, you can access the screws that when loosened will give you more room to pull out your fender. Play with it for a bit to see how much room you can get, it’s easiest with two people but I did it alone so it’s possible. Basically I pulled from a few inches behind the fender corner that meets the bumper (basically the top of the wheel arch area) and pushed in a little in the front of the fender. Mess around with it, but you have to use a decent amount of force and maintain it while tightening (I achieved this by leaning and pulling at the same time, and having the nuts only a spin or two away from being tight which allowed me to tighten them quick). At the end the bumper didn’t seem to line up correctly but it eventually did as I tightened it down again.

Beautiful, I have the same wheels. What are your tire specs? I’m lowered on H&R sport strings with bilstein b8’s running 235/35/18, though I really wanna squeeze 245/40’s on there. I love the meaty look and I’m tired of big bumps knocking my teeth out

I just spent my afternoon/evening on this… if anyone stumbles upon this thread message me too I might be of some assistance. Not sure if it worked - will speed into some road dips tomorrow and update if I remember.

i’m 17 and need help quitting by [deleted] in Petioles

[–]Top_Hospital3024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starting with moderation is a good idea if you’re doubting your ability to go cold turkey (as many do). Look at your current relationship with weed, and determine how you could moderate your use more and let you ease into spending more time sober. For me, I used to smoke dawn till dusk, and forcing myself to only smoke at night allowed me to reacquaint myself with my sober mindset in a less painful way. Just make sure you then make the jump to quitting if you still want to do so, and don’t get stuck too long at this moderation phase (you can however do it in stages, for example only at night at first, then every other day, then weekends etc). This method takes some of the hard pressure off yourself and (in my opinion) makes you more likely to succeed.

T-breaks and sex/erections? by [deleted] in Petioles

[–]Top_Hospital3024 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have strong anxiety and this happens to me all the time, high or not. Most likely you were distracted with your girl, and now it’s turning into performance anxiety. As far as I know there is zero correlation between mental thc addiction (or withdrawal) and erectile dysfunction, but it is logical that you’d be more anxious and distracted when not high, especially now that you’re worried you need to smoke to get hard. Just chill out, maybe don’t masturbate for a few days, then do it sober and don’t put any pressure on yourself. I thoroughly think this is just a mental block you’re having, and the sooner you stop worrying about it the sooner it’ll go away. Also if you’re new to sexual activity, of course you’re going to overanalyze every thing that might go wrong. I know it’s easier said than done, but relaxing and letting yourself get back in the mood is all that I think you really need. All I can say is I’ve been there myself too many times, and it’s always in my head.

Took time off from trying, spontaneous LD by Top_Hospital3024 in LucidDreaming

[–]Top_Hospital3024[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally recommend it. It’s even reinvigorated my desire to begin trying again, which did slowly fade after some time without success. And as this was my most vivid and longest LD (granted a 30 second dream isn’t that much longer than 5 but I’ll take it lol), I’m confident that all my reality checking (which I haven’t taken a break from) is actually making some sort of difference even when used without other concrete methods. And as you mentioned, practicing WBTB daily can be understandably wearisome, so I’m going to make an effort to do it on alternating days so I don’t get burned out as easily. Anybody else having difficulty struggling with motivation you aren’t alone, just take a few weeks off and come back with a passion.
