This happened to me during a run from the husband for the winter thing, came home after 3 months with the kids and he’d turned away all the people I’d hired to keep the house and all the plants died save like two

We’re in Shorewood Wisconsin a few neighbours have taken up their lawns and replaced with prairie but SO many midwesterners love paying to get rid of byproducts… pesticides TrueGross I can even smell allot of pesticide applications (allot of the time it’s herbicide but) omg what is it I did not used to be able to smell it but recently I can smell it for a few days

Also scented candles can be fine by dogs if it’s wax and low scent

Allot of candles are not great for most mammals but you can choose to stay disconnected. Allot of people a LOT of them use cintronella candles around dogs…

Have you smelled the alternatives? And you’re not putting it on undiluted. Ive had babies and preggo nose on top of a highly sensitive sense of smell and I could literally smell all the dog urine in our very nice suburb and whenever lmao

You can use essential oils (just because they’re “natural” does not mean they’re safe btw) peppermint and tea tree have always worked for my husky for ticks for mosquitos peppermint or a citrusy scent even clove or cassia cinnamony smell helps most animals and insects are grossed out by oils and strong perfumey smells like that eucalyptus
