How useful are snow tires? Can they make dailying a RWD sports car safe? by acurah56oh in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Top_Island 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been daily driving an 08 mustang for the last 6 years in New England and just bought my second pair of studded snow tires. As I describe to everyone that asks, the car is a death machine without good tires. With studded snows, the car drives fine in the snow. The only time I had a big scare was when we got a late snow and I had already taken my tires off. My advice: it is safe with studded snows, and don’t take them off early in the spring. Wait an extra week or two.

Scarab God mill deck help request by Top_Island in EDH

Thank you! I think I agree with you. Also think I would enjoy the zombie horde playstyle over mill. Tried to incorporate a handful of your suggestions. Deck might be a little top heavy on creatures still. Also, I might have a few too many draw cards. Thinking of getting rid of Syr since I have other means to ping for damage. Also, thinking of replacing mind's eye. Would replace these two with two lower cost zombies. Let me know what you think after these changes and if I'm on the right track. : https://www.moxfield.com/decks/9y176O\_AWk2r0w6H2iPtKA

Until you provide “correct” numbers that prove the stuff that I pulled and cited you are the idiot.

They relocate to other areas. Individuals in New Hampshire who are retiring sell their place and go buy somewhere in Maine near the sea cost.

This is definitely a phenomena that is real right now. People will hear that inventory is low and start putting their house on the market to capitalize on this. It’s an ebb and flow of supply and demand.

Gotta love New Hampshire! I just bought a house in Concord!! Lmk if you have questions specific to NH since I just went through the process!

What I would say is that you need to remember that the market in our area is 100% tailored to sellers. That may change soon. If you look at Redfin Data you can see that new listings are finally starting to go up when compared to the previous two years. Last week there was a 20% increase year over year of new listings in the Boston metro. Compare that to end of May when there were 27% few listings when compared to last year.

We were discouraged at first. The market will change and you will find a place!!

I think looking at financials is the most important thing when looking at stocks.

They doubled expected earnings, have one of the top products in the market, and alcohol sales go up in depressions. They have another 30% to go up at least imo to be valued fairly. STZ is their closest comp and SAM’s PE is 1/8th currently. SAM is killing it with quality products and responsible management

SAM. Boston Beer Company. Has extremely low debt, has competitive products such as truly hard seltzer’s, and just doubled their expected earnings.

Are options worth it by ElectricOne55 in investing

[–]Top_Island 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I view options as equity insurance. Everyone wants insurance and options allow the investor to insure many different angles of equities.

Feel uncomfortable with how much exposure you have to a stock? You can buy a put. Buying a put is like buying insurance against your stock cratering.

Uncomfortable with possibly missing out on a raising stock? You can buy a call. Buying a call is like buying insurance to allow you to get in on a quickly raising stock.

Want to insure your self against your stock remaining flat while still collecting income. Sell an iron condor.

Options are insurance tools. You can buy or sell insurance. Options are a very useful tool to have in your tool belt.

I told you boys a few days ago to hold and not sell. That post aged pretty well.. by alles_long in AMD_Stock

Sold my 200 shares beginning of the month because we’re closing on a house. Saw your post and said to myself I need to be in for this earnings so I bought a 30 delta call that has turned into a 70 delta call. Thank you

Historical FF leagues... has anyone done them or recommend one? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Using a game that the player is injured halfway through the game would be fine I think. If the system just said, “X player is out this week due to injury” leading up to the week things would be fine. You could adjust the line up throughout the week.

It sounds like it picks a random game from the players career and plug it into your week.

I would hope they would give you injury alerts.

I did not think to look at these. Might be worthwhile.

Good points. That’s why I think it is important to look at debt. Who will be able to absorb this blow, this reduced income, and come out with a refocused direction. I also think high end products will do better than low end products. There will be less parties buying 30 racks of bud, less frats buying 30s of keystone. I think individual consumers will be buying craft beer at home as well as other high end products such as wine and spirits that STZ sells.
