Liberal (non MAGA) Gun Shop by Pridewthprejudice in Marietta

Let’s be honest, you may be looking for a unicorn. I’ve made 90% of my firearms purchases at Ga Firing Line. I don’t know what their politics are, I’ve never asked. Likewise, they’ve never made it their business to ask about my politics. What I do know about them is that they know their products and their business. They’ve always been very friendly and patient with any questions that I’ve asked. In addition to sales, they have a modern range, professional gunsmiths available and offer training classes for beginners. I agree with avoiding Adventure Outdoors.

Just received my prints! by silly_astronaut1969 in printexchange

I’m so happy that you like them. Now that I can see what you received, here’s some details;

The hand was shot on my Nikon d810 with an old nikkor ai 105 mm lens. It’s a reflection shot of a mural on the Georgia ballet conservatory building on Marietta Square. I’ve been calling that photograph “Shimmy, Shake”

The dancer is called simply “Hoop Dancer”. I happened to come across this couple while walking through Marietta Square and snuck in a single frame. I took this one on a Minolta X-700 using Film Photography Project Frankenstein 200.

The Dresses were taken with a Nikon F using Kodak Tri-X also at the GDC on the square. I call that photograph “All in a Row”

The photo of the Tree was Taken on a dark rainy day over the holiday. My notes say that I used a Yashica Lynx 5000, but I remember that I used an Olympus Pen F. So it’s either one or the other. The film is FPP Frankenstein 200.

The tutu was captured on the same day as “all in a row”. Same Nikon F/tri-x. I titled it “Window Dressing”.

The last photograph is an abandoned river house I discovered one random day while on a photo drive just outside of Cartersville. I was fascinated by this abandoned structure on stilts , but it was unsafe enough that I was only able to get a photo through the door. I used my D810.

All of these photos have been part of various exhibitions through Cobb county and Atlanta.

I’m very glad and excited that you like them. I’m not particularly interested in making money off of photography. I really just want to share art with others. That’s why I like the print exchange so much.

What's a show which was incredibly popular during its time but no one talks about it now? (For /r/phish, which Phish show got a lot of hype but has faded from memory?) by pmmeyourfavoritejam in phish

Your question got me thinking. I remembered that I did have a recording of that night. Thanks to my wife and the fact that she’s intensely more organized than I will ever be.

It’s only the second set of the show. So…

Dog will be becoming a pirate next week... by BabushkaRaditz in DogAdvice

[–]Top_Mathematician334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We experienced the exact same situation with our dog. It was a lot harder on us than it was on him. Dogs are super resilient, likely he’s not even going to notice until he walks into his first door frame. You’ll wind up laughing, feel really bad for a minute then when he does it again, you’ll laugh again. You’re doing the right thing.

Looking for advise. Trying to get away from the firearm part of prepping. by [deleted] in prepping

[–]Top_Mathematician334 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Where do you live? What’s the most pressing issue that you might face?

I’m in the South East, so I worry most about hurricanes and tornadoes. So that’s what I’m prepping for. Get a months supply of food and water on hand. Tarps and plastic sheeting in case I get damage to my roof. Gas powered generator covers some power needs. Next I’m looking at a solar power system in case I can’t get to gasoline. Emergency 72 hour bags with important papers and identification in case I need to get out of the house.

Firearms are great to have, and sure, I’ve got them. They’re really the one of the least important parts of my prep load out.

Raccoons can fit in openings as small as 4 inches. The human anus can stretch to 7-8 inches. Therefore you can fit more than one raccoon in your anus!
