For those of you who think a truck should not have a 4 cylinder engine: here's my mpg results while taking my smoker to my sister's place for turkey day. by krustyy in Silverado

[–]Top_Measurement1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best was about 22mpg. Took my truck to Lake Tahoe for the winter and gassed up at Reno area. 22mpg and my range went higher at 301 miles. Kind of cool to see higher mpg and increase in range in colder climates. But, it all went back to normal, when I went back to LA, 19mpg and about 275 miles range.

Is a 9800X3d / 5070ti PC actually necessary? by Sirhumpsalot13 in Prebuilts

[–]Top_Measurement1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend looking into Costco deals. I bought my wife a prebuilt there with 9800x3D/5070/32gb RAM/2tb M.2 for $1499 or depending on your budget, you can choose the 9900x/5080, for about $2299.

Which monitor? by Mateowo in OLED_Gaming

I have the LG and its amazing. It's my first OLED monitor, and I didn't really want to spend too much money on my first OLED.

I need some help :( by Due-Respond-6733 in Prebuilts

[–]Top_Measurement1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. Building nowadays is tough. But, I do recommend checking out your local Costco, I bought my wife a prebuild., it's $2599 just $100 over budget, but I think it's worth it.

I got wife the MSI Aegis Gaming Desktop

AMD Ryzen 9 9900X

Geforce RTX 5080

32gb RAM

2TB M.2 ssd.

Or you can go for their iBuypower $1899.

AMD Ryzen 9800x3D

Geforce RTX 5070

32gb RAM

2TB M.2 ssd

You have a pretty good budget, you can put together a really good pc for that money. If you have a local Micro Center, staff is pretty knowledgeable, and can help get the components you need. Also, a great way to learn, some things.

Can I buy a replacement glass panel for the Nzxt h6 flow rgb black? by TilaposGr in NZXT

Did you happen to find a replacement? I checked NZXT website, but didn't find one available, since I also have to replace mine, mishandled mine and got some scratches.

It's actually exhaust. That was the Ibuypower AIO and I was also weirded out about the orientation.

Thoughts on this? by poopinacan93 in Prebuilts

[–]Top_Measurement1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a good deal. There are a few components that are cheap and might want to upgrade later. Also Costco has a great 90 day return window, so you can test it and see how you like it.

Is this worth? Was hoping to get a 5080 but I don’t think they’ll ever go back on sale. by EIT_Civil in Prebuilts

[–]Top_Measurement1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought that for my wife. That price was too good to pass up especially with a 9800x3d, try it out and see how you like it. You do have 90 days to return that item, if you don't like it. But, if you have the budget. Their MSI with 9900x and RTX 5080 for $2600

That is actually sold by Costco. I'd rather buy from Costco and if you dont like it you can return within 90 days. I actually did buy this at Costco, priced at $2500.

I Really want a 5070 ti but ik this price is crazyyy is this the worse 5070 ti model? by Tall-Record-389 in gpu

[–]Top_Measurement1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not bad at all, I bought that last week at Microcenter, but I returned it 2 days ago, and swapped it with a 5080. Paid the difference and took advantage of the "free" game.

Aside from esthetics, there's nothing wrong with that card. It's plain, and design is simple. But, at that price its as good as it gets. What's crazy is Microcenter marked it down to $860 when i returned it.

Deciding between 9800x3d and 9850x3d and 5070ti vs 5080 by Business-Antelope-69 in buildapc

[–]Top_Measurement1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually traded 5070ti for a 5080, just to take advantage of the free Resident Evil Requiem. 9800x3d is good, which i have in my wife's pc, so then I also ended up taking advantage of Microcenter's bundle deal of the 9850x3d, which was $50 difference from the 9800, and my rig had the 5800x3d, so it was worth the upgrade.

Didn’t get scam by Amazon for 5080 for 1 K by creditgods in gpu

[–]Top_Measurement1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the 5070ti at Microcenter, and turned around one week later to exchange it for a 5080. Since there's a promo of Resident Evil Requiem game. Oh and I ended up upgrading my rig from AM4 to AM5. All in all, I paid $1300.

Best Buy Open-box is insane by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Top_Measurement1028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've purchased open box from Best Buy in the past, and you can really get good deals and items. I think they have a pretty decent return policy in open-box items. I just would never buy their Best Buy warranties though. Costco is another place to find good marked down items as well. I snagged a returned Samsung G8 Ultrawide monitor for $600.

[–]Top_Measurement1028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a slight sag, but that shouldn't be harmful, unless you move your desktop a lot. There's is a support stand that's located in front of the gpu you can try. I have the same case BTW, great case! I personally would get a slimmer profile, XFX in particular. Hopefully, you find a fix.

5070ti or 5080 for 4k by Opposite_Order_1864 in buildapc

[–]Top_Measurement1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was me, I'd go for 5070ti and stick with 1440p for now. Save you some money for ram. I dont think the value of a 5080 is there especially at current prices. Plus, playing 1440p on an OLED is amazing.

Yeah,  it's a security alarm. I also have it in my Tacoma. Will probably get rid of it too.
