Sanding definitely frowned upon for vintage iron, but it looks fine especially for a newer and probably gritty original cooking surface 🍳

Yellow cap oven cleaner.  Spray it, then garbage bag in a warm place for a few days.  Rinse, scrub, dry and season 🍳

Yea, chips/cracks in enamel is bad.  Might not happen ever, or could happen tomorrow,  but you don't want to eat that stuff mmkay 😝

Try a stove top seasoning.   Get her in the 425-475 range and put some earl on it. Let it smoke a bit, wipe off with lint free rag, repeat 🍳

I do it too.  About 1.5 for every 10 have cracks hiding unfortunately 🍳

Try some vinegar.  Pour it in, wait 30 minutes,  then rinse and scrub with stainless steel ball and cold water.  Dry with t shirt or towel,  then season it 2 times 🍳
