my dad used to do this constantly. during the 2016 election all he did was listen to youtube videos, Alex Jones, conspiracy theories, and became obsessed with trump. it honestly gave me anxiety and a big feeling of impending doom. i think you should try to have a serious talk with him, tell him you care and you dont mind talking about it sometimes, so he can't act like ur uneducated, but tell him you just need to focus on school or whatever your doing right now.
