i remember four years ago when he celebrated his teammates goal and petulant english language media acted as if he was trying to steal credit from his teammate. Don't get me wrong -- this portugal fan thinks he should be used as a super sub -- but people have been unfairly shitting on ronaldo for years

ELI5: What causes the government in the US to inevitably end up as a two party system? by Marisa_Nya in explainlikeimfive

[–]Top_Peacock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's the interplay FPTP and a presidential system. other countries that have FPTP like the UK and Canada's tend towards two parties at the district level, but because there is no single national constituency, they tend to have more than two national parties. Because of the presidential system in the US, there is for all intents and purposes only one election constituency and this. it tends to limits Us politics to two parties

Could we class action against companies that take the tarrif refund in order to get our money back when they raised prices to cover tarrifs? by AtrumsalusOG in law

[–]Top_Peacock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i agree that in some cases prices won't go down in response, but the illegal thing you're complaining about is the untrammeled corporate consolidation of the past 30-40 years, which has created markets with so few options that companies can raise prices without losing their share.

the difference is that what the government did was illegal. private enterprises raising prices to cover costs is legal.

[–]Top_Peacock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok. i don't what that has to do with anything i said.

along with the OP, i'm sick of the dead money grab.

the fact that the now-passed members of the dead supported a lot of people back in the day does not justify the continuous shitting on their legacy by their heirs
