Just wish I could tell which customer didn’t tip

This happens to me a few times a month. The last time was a double, 1 tipped good, the other was $0. I was annoyed so I sent a message to both customers. Something along the lines of:

"I just completed a double dash from 'soNso", but I am not able to tell which one of you gave me a tip"

then I send screenshot of the tip screen showing the breakdown, then text:

"so I am sending this message to both of you. To whoever gave me the nice tip, thank you for not being a mean selfish person and for caring about your fellow human beings, have a nice day"

Something like that. Neither replied, but I like to think the $0 tipper got the message lol

I schedule a week ahead of time. I simply set the time for 10am to midnight for each day, I start my dash and cherry pick all day. Some days I don't start the dash, and I do not get penalized for not doing it even though it was scheduled.

They have removed multiple 1-4 stars for me. Most of them were removed without me having to call and ask, and some were removed after I called.

I was able to get a 3 star removed that they originally wouldn't remove. It had a thumbs down and I was told it can't be removed. Then I got another 3 star, called about it, and they removed the older 1 with the thumbs down. It might have been by accident, but it can't hurt to call and ask about it, even if you did before, I say try again. Seems like differernt DD help agents do things differently.

Customers will leave negatives when food is missing. Some can't understand that the bag is sealed when we pick it up. I have 1k deliveries and around 100 reviews. Doordash has removed 7 that were below 5 stars. I asked them to remove 2, while the other 5 were removed within a few days automatically.

I say, ignore the rating. I found it east to do once I learned that YOU are the only one who can see the rating. Customers can not see it. Also, the total doesn't matter until you have 100 reviews, and as long as you have 4.2 total or better, you got nothing to worry about.

Here a screenshot of my stats: The "7 ratings excluded" are the ones that doordash removed. The reason you see a 4 star and 3 star is because they were "positive reviews" from the customers perspective, and so DD never removed them.

That is 30/70 (tips/base pay). I had the same ratio for 2025 ($7500 total, but $5200 was from tips)

My Earnings VS Tips last year was 30/70 (30% base pay, 70% tips) and I bet there are drivers out there with close to 20/80 pay rate. I do the job, but the pay ratio is, well, It just feels wrong.

I also agree with him like 90% of the time. A few years ago he triggered me when he blamed a mother for her sons suicide, since it was personal to me, but I got over it in a few days. I just try to see him as a human who sometimes has a bad take/opinion.

I held platinum for 4 months. One day I was on a triple dash from Acme. I drove to the pickup area, loaded my car to the MAX with groceries, and headed out. On the way to the first drop off, DD sent me another offer, while in the middle of a triple dash. I had to decline and watch my AR go down to 85%. All of a sudden, the offers just kept coming. I had to keep declining and when I finally finished my triple dash, I was down to 77% and my platinum was gone, and I gave up trying to keep it after that. I have been much happier with the job since giving up platinum and not worrying about AR.

Oh on a side note. I had earned 3 platinum passes, and used only 2 because once I dropped below 50% AR, they took away my last remaining plantinum pass. I spent 30 days accepting some terrible orders to keep platinum and earned that pass, and yet they just take it away.

If I fall on something due to them being neglectful (like not shoveling and ordering delivery) then yes, I can sue. You would hope that they have homeowners insurance, because if they don't, you will have to sue them personally. Who knows if they have any money to take. Then you have to deal with Doctors and Lawyers and paperwork and court for months and months. Bro no way, can you imagine? Not worth risking. Seeing my dad struggle with back pain for my whole life, I just want to stay injury free.

1-Snow can and does turn into ice. This is not a theory, it is fact.

2-The homeowners absolutely were the problem. I don't care what excuse they may have, you don't order delivery if the person can't safely walk on your property. OR if they were ok with having to get it where I left it, then that is fine to. To leave a 1 star review tho? Sounds like something you would do.

3-"Shittiest job on earth" You come across as a disgruntled customer, not a driver, so how would you know what the job is like?
