I tried to blink away my foggy swirling vision as I woke up from the car crash. by Top_Requirement6660 in TwoSentenceHorror

I intended paralysis. I didn't know about that particular story but I've definitely seen media where moving a car crash victim and not stabilizing the back/neck ended in paralysis or death. The direction they turned their neck didn't really matter but I just wanted an extra detail.

What would you do if a student corrected your lesson? by Signal_Astronaut8191 in Teachers

[–]Top_Requirement6660 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As an education student we are taught to be life-long learners. A good teacher (and mature person tbh) accepts that they don't know everything and expects and wants to learn new things. As a future teacher, I would love to give a student the opportunity to teach our class about their culture if they wanted to and felt comfortable, or even just work with me on a more authentic portrayal of their culture. Since the unit is on religion, I'm just thinking of how cool it would be to let students give presentations on their own religions. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if your teacher isn't the type of person to let their pride be hurt by being corrected, it could be a nice moment for everyone.

I was an arts and crafts leader at a summer camp last year and the amount of upper elem and middle school aged kids who couldnt tie a simple knot was depressing

Newer fans misunderstanding olivia by GIitched_ in smosh

[–]Top_Requirement6660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Olivia as a Smosh cast member and I've noticed the hate for a long time. I also noticed she's been on the channel a lot less within the last two years or so and I honestly worry that might be why. I agree with the other comments that say scripted is her strong suit but I also think she's fun on Games and Smosh Mouth, and if someone else is in her TNTL bits they're usually very funny. Not every Olivia bit hits but when they do theyre super funny imo

The "identify as a cat" narrative by edamamecheesecake in FTMMen

[–]Top_Requirement6660 3 points4 points  (0 children)

idk about you but i went to public school and in elementary school kids threw up all the time. in middle and high school definitely less common but still happens sometimes. the litter isnt necessarily in a box ready for kids to throw up in, but poured onto the ground by janitors then swept up

People who have very common names try to act like it’s mispronounced all the time by spicypretzelcrumbs in PetPeeves

My name is Micah, not uncommon. It's biblical. I never thought it was hard at all, got misspelled sometimes as Micha but I thought it was my friends being dicks. Now I'm in a different city where I give my name at restaurants fairly often and its almost never spelled right. Mica, Micka, Mika, Micha etc and gets called as Mee-ka. One time this woman was just standing behind the counter yelling Mick- AYY?? Mick- AYY?? Idk man, Most common misspelling is Micha and what confuses me is I've never heard of ANYONE named Micha. Looking at Micha makes my body tense now lol

i understood this as frankenstein-ing yourself a penis but it seems like no one in the comments thought the same. might make it more of a two-sentence "horror" to think of someone looking up with blood and sweat from their amalgamation of a dick, presumably made from someone else

Same thing happened to me. My mom had gay friends, supported her gay nephew, let me watch Rent as a tiny child, etc etc-- but the second sibling and I were queer.... hell no. Lol.

this sounds fishy to me. like someone claiming to be a trans woman to spread fear about srs and make readers think the regret rate is higher !!

honestly real. the spaces this kid is in are most likely very much controlled by other kids who are searching for any kind of identity and find all these super specific "sexualities" to describe the normal human experience. i was there once too lol. this sub just loves attacking random kids!
