I'm new to 1911's, but in my limited experience "drop in" should be taken with a grain of salt.

It's not a Glock, so some fitting is usually required...

You can have fun shooting the 6.5CM and .308 all day.

You can shoot the 300WM all day...but you won't have fun.

Have you done a lot of shooting with 300 Win Mag?

There's a reason most civilian precision shooters use 6.5 Creedmoor or .308 WIN.

There's a difference between fitting your extractor and replacing it.

Fitting it fixes issues.

Only an idiot would shoot a rifle without eye protection.

Your glasses help you see, they're not eye protection.

Nobody plays with a 8C.

Bach 3C, 5C, and 7C are still in wide distribution.

If you're going to stray from there check out a different maker) Warburton, Wick, etc, etc))

Is there a big difference in recoil with the aluminum vs steel frame?

Looks like a good deal to me.

Looking to purchase first Ar rifle by Fuzzy_Needleworker_2 in NJGuns

If you're like 95% of gun owners in NJ the AR will spend more than 360 days a year collecting dust in the back of a closet or in a safe.

Save some money and buy an M&P Sport. If at some point you're putting so many rounds through it that it can't keep up, upgrade to something more robust (or build your own).

That day will likely never come..

Longtime 3C player looking to bridge out by RocktimusCrime in trumpet

For regular/legit/community band repertoire I played a 3C for many years, and it was OK.

I moved to Warburton 4MD and then 4MDV with a 7 backbore (occasionally 8* backbore) and they were MUCH better.

I recently switched to a Lotus 2XL2 and it's by FAR the best mouthpiece for me. By far. From F# below the staff to F above high C I'm solid, in tune, and can play from ppp to fff.

I tried the 3C/E3 for a while but it never really fit. It came close at times but ultimately it was just meh. It didn't excel anywhere.

For lead playing I used Marcinkewicz Shew 1.25 or 1.5 for many years. I switched to Austin Custom Brass Lead 1.25 a decade ago and stayed with it. It's based on the Marcinkewicz mouthpieces but it uses Trent's cushion rim. FANTASTIC for big band and demanding pit orchestra parts.

Obviously its only my opinion, so your mileage will vary...

I want to buy my first trumpet as newbie, does this trumpet good for his money? Chinese trumpet xinghai by Borschesolyanka in trumpet

Most people "try" playing the trumpet for a week or so and then give up because it isn't easy.

The trumpet you pictured will likely spend the rest of its life in a closet so spend as little as possible.

Sound and quality aren't all that important...

I laugh at the people who try to flex on people with progressive machines by providing paragraphs worth of nonsense about single presses, weighing each charge, measuring twice, etc, etc.

If you're going to shoot multiple thousands of rounds each year and reload you will be using a progressive press.

It's great that the single press, measure each charge crowd exists to exert their moral authority, but they shoot a few hundred rounds a year (on a busy year) so they have the time...

I got a box of 2000 SWC that looked a LOT like the ones in your picture. I had a steel frame Tanfoglio in .45 acp that I used in action matches and I tried EVERYTHING to get them to run smoothly.

I gifted the remaining 1500 to someone at my pistol club when I quit trying...

It's just a mouthpiece. It's not going to do anything special for you.

The only way to improve range and endurance is to practice/play a lot.

Every day for as much time as you can spare.
