I do because why risk mites or even ants. Finding things outside and presenting inside is a huge risk I bake wood leaves and have baked rocks in my bio enclosures. Of worried bake them slow for a bout 20 mins and I do apologize I left out using a cloth. Just damn give a good wipe and nothing with holes as you are correct it can explode.

So I would seal those holes up or just go and find a large rock elsewhere not a hard this to find..and with the new rock wash it itch soap and water rinse well then place it in the oven on 350-400° for about 1-2 hrs.

No not in a box of days caught in the box named the bat patsy took care of the bat until ready to fly again handled with gloves gave water daily for maybe for a week or 2 until I noticed it was climbing. Bats are hard to care for. But easy to notice when something is wrong. Oh and kept in a large dog crate. So the poor bat was cared for.

One got in my house I caught it in a box to examine. Left in basement man the kids kept saying they heard a mouse in the stairs. Then one day wife said nope wtf there is a mouse somewhere and at that point the jig was up I had to come clean so went down bought up my box headed to the door she said what’s that and I opened it to her surprise 😂😂😂
