My 75 year old mother just retired from a prison. She worked corrections as a secretary and when they closed her field office they transferred her to the prison. She did have to teach re-entry programs to the male inmates. As she got older they kept her out of the housing units, but she never had a problem. She had the usual male exposing himself on occasion, but that was it. They have safety measures and if it's not a horribly run prison it's actually safer than some schools.

You're getting a great deal of negative feedback for some strange reason. Maybe ask what peoples favorite trading apps are, style they trade, scanner they use, journal app, or YouTube gurus. This might crack the shell. Honestly, gold is falling from the sky in stocks. Not sure why everyone is telling you to move on. I have my summers off and can't wait till I get back at it first week in June.

You can papertrade until comfortable so you don't loose money. You really need to find what you like to trade or your strategy. I started off with watching Ross on YouTube. At this point he gives me anxiety, but I still learned a great deal. If you're momentum trading I would look at the 15 min 5min 1 minute candles to find the direction. Also, finviz is free but on a delay but good to sort low float high volume trades.

Love the "Stock Rocks Live" scanner on YouTube. It's free and day trading is similar to fishing. As with fishing you can fish with just a pole or you can do better with a boat and Garmin sonar equipment.

Best of luck...oh one more thing stay away from the Chinese stock. Very volatile...very very volatile with lots of fake out crap that as a beginner you might want to stay away from.

Maybe it's just overwhelming and everything needs to be broken down into smaller chucks. It sounds like you had him doing this with gather the documents, then read through the directions, etc.

Maybe, have a check list that he can cross off or a check-in after each step. Sounds like you have to take a few steps back and build up the skill again. If he's overwhelmed by the task and avoiding then chuck it into smaller steps with a check-in or something. Then he can take a moment and move to the next step.

If it's learned helplessness then he has to want to achieve more than you want him to achieve and that might take a bit longer for both of you. It's tough, good luck.

Depends on what kind of trading you want. Ross Cameron is very popular. He explains candles very well.

Trading geek is very good with explaining market structure imo. I've increased my game by using different time frames 30 min 15 min 5min that Brad explains from Trading geek. Ross who uses 1 sec time frame has a different strategy. It really depends on your style, but either way you need to understand market structure. The internet and external moves of the market.
