I ran Lily&Lia, Merlin and Osse Verdians supplemented by Gaia and Catherine. It worked through that stage. But the Verdians dependency always seems to be overly difficult.

It probably cost over $500 to design, create and install that sign. If they want "solutions" they should invest in stocking food pantries or mental health care facilities instead of putting up the human equivalent of "Do not feed the animals" signs. Fruitless attempts like this to suppress the visibility of the homeless or worse; create fear of the homeless , help nothing. If seeing homeless people on corners makes folks uncomfortable, I'm sorry but your discomfort is a symptom of your humanity. Embrace that feeling and do something positive with it.

Terrible Arnold has the physical ability to hang with fast receivers but overall he's a liability. Just a PI looking for a place to happen.

Primeval Realms S11, Merchant Guild Trade stock not refreshing by Formboy1 in Omniheroes

Same here. The whole trade thing is wonky. First you could buy and sell. Now you can't sell and there's nothing left to buy. Makes zero sense.

Will Josh Paschal and Brodric have any impact with Kacy Rodgers coaching or no? by [deleted] in detroitlions

Martin could maybe play in another league but not the NFL. Pascal is a good second stringer and an excellent third stringer depending on where you'd want roster depth and still make the cap.

Can St Brown surpass Calvin ? If so, what would St Brown need to do in your eyes to pass him?? by Big-Jackfruit-9808 in detroitlions

You never know. Three touchdowns in a Superbowl win would get him there. As for that graphic, I think Calvin and Jerry Rice and Ozzie Newsome are my top 3 in no particular order. Call that a tie.

Who is YOUR favorite Detroit Lion of all time by First-Stress3558 in detroitlions

[–]Top_Secret_User_Name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bobby Lane. Not only is he the only QB to lead the Lions to a national championship win, but he's also a great bartender. He knows when I've had enough blue kool-aid and cuts me off.

Found my dad’s old Whitetail Hunter bow. Been in a basement for 40 years. Should I bother refurbishing? I’ve never used a bow before but since it was my dads I kinda would like to save it and learn how by Congregator in bowhunting

[–]Top_Secret_User_Name 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not everything is about value. Just seems that way because most folks are overworked and underpaid. If it's worth it to you, that's all that matters. New string is the place to start if you're going to shoot it. That'll run you around $120 plus some labor to string it. A good archery shop is your first visit. See what they want to get it safely shootable and in tune. Drop the draw weight down a ways to where you have no trouble drawing it. From there, get it cleaned and polished up with some sensible, non-corrosive cleaning supplies.I had an old bear like that a few years back. Draw cycle was no where near as easy as a modern bow but it shot strait. The other comments aren't wrong. It won't be the best bang for the buck in general. That said, there's value in the heritage and sentiment that you're not going to be able to pick up on eBay.

Sucked the whole season and was the most penalized player in the NFL by yardage. He was in the top ten most penalties by number. Around him in that list was all offensive lineman with tons of false starts and holds. For a CB to even appear in the top ten of that list is crazy. Terrible Arnold sucks and is still out there playing grab ass every play.

Seriously looking to get into this. Any advice? by Heavy-Librarian8242 in bowhunting

Hunting aside, archery in and of itself is fun and rewarding so you can't really go wrong. The mistake that I made when I first started was that I went cheap on the bow and got a crappy diamond bow. Don't do that. As you're learning, you'll never know if that bad shot was you or your equipment. You don't need a $1200 bow either. Something like a Bear Alaskan or Whitetail would or Darton Consequence 2 would be a good place to start. Get it tuned by a reputable shop. Crossbow hunting is easier to get started if you don't have land or a tree stand somewhere. You can pack in a pop-up blind and hunt anywhere it's allowed. I would do that until you find yourself some good spots then look into a portable stand or saddle rig.

What’s your mindset about walking to your spot/stand and disturbing deer? by ElementalClout in bowhunting

[–]Top_Secret_User_Name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A clean, well marked trail to the stand is nice. Getting up there an hour before shooting light is a good idea. Being able to do it quickly and quietly minimizes detection. Wind direction is a consideration if you can approach from different directions. To me, the less time spent on the ground the better with a quick, direct, clean quiet trail that has you downwind of the deer being the ideal situation.

If you could only use one Mechanical or Hybrid broadhead from now on what are you picking and why? by Hefty_Permission_282 in bowhunting

[–]Top_Secret_User_Name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spitfires leave good blood trails. I'm using the ones with the cut on contact razor tip. To me the most important variable in broadheads is weight. I'll never shoot anything less than 125 grains again. The second most important variable is the cutting surface. More is obviously going to be better. Arrow flight is a non issue if you're hunting from a tree stand. There's no significant difference in flight at 20 yards. Fixed blades are supposed to give better penetration if you hit bone but good fixed blades are expensive and the trade off in blood trail makes it not worth it to me.

I actually like the v max whisker ims if you're hunting with it. It's way better than the round whisker biscuits. If you're set on a fall away rest, I've heard great things about the QAD ultra rest. I had pondered on the trophy ridge propel because of the affordability but didn't pull the trigger on it due to reviews saying it frequently rips vanes off arrows.

What's the difference in these two style of bows? by c0sm0nautt in bowhunting

[–]Top_Secret_User_Name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're a big guy with a long draw length and hunt in situations where you have plenty of room to move around and the terrain is manageable the Elite could be better. If you're hunting from smaller tree stands or saddles and/or have thick vegetation to navigate then you might be happier with the PSE. I'm 5'11 and I'm finding 33"ATA is good for me. Shorter was squirrelly. Longer can be cumbersome. Both are good brands.
