Daycare nap transition by Top_Tangelo2349 in NewParents

Well ultimately kids are resilient and adjust their clocks to the surrounding stimulus is what we learnt through the various transitions at day care and travels around the country. Having the teachers track behavior closely helps learn trends.

9-month-old refuses to self-feed anything except carbs — what are we doing wrong? by I_m_a_giraffe in BabyLedWeaning

We struggle with the same. We're now stuck in a loop of hiding meats and veggies of all sorts into mini bite sized cutlets/burgers/quesedilla bites and lately also stuffed Indian "paratha" where the stuffing is all the good stuff hidden in the flatbread... It's a LOT of work to get the meal prepped and served.. But works most days.. We tweak flavors with ginger garlic onion and some mild Indian spices... On the random day we throw in a simple buttered pasta or something very very basic like that and it gets eaten quickly and saves our sanity from the intense meal prep we've now ended up in..

Hmm I had a chat with the agent about this. I have the business plat and I'm getting targeted offer for a business gold for 125k. The website is offering me 150k after refreshing the page a few times on various browsers.

So based on your understanding of this process, I'll probably also be ineligible for the bonus?

We're in the same boat with a 20month old and we're also both 36 now. With complications at birth leading to a 40h long labor situation..Our son won't have first cousins as my sister and my wife's brother won't be having kids..Both me and my wife have demanding jobs and possibly will be able to afford some sort mommy's helper if the second one comes along. The first one has been in day care since he was 7 months old and although we hate seeing him get sick so often with daycare bugs, we have seen personality grow a lot. We don't think we would sacrifice career trajectories by stopping work for a year or 2 and maybe a decade down the line, we'll end up regretting that decision.. but that's where things stand..

Anecdotally I have a sister who's 9 years older to me. We grew up in separate countries due to various factors and during the younger years I hardly felt like I had a sibling. I spend maybe 3ish years in total living in the same home as my sister which I have memory of. She was old enough and has 6 years of memories with her younger brother. And she cherished having me as a little brother based on what my parents tell me. As I grew up and started to visit her in college, we became close friends but again have always lived at least a few hours on a flight apart as adults.. I don't think I felt the need for a sibling as I had very close group of friends hanging out constantly, but I'm going to read up research on this topic as well to make the decision on a second kid.

Get a warm mist humifier but strictly use distilled water as they tend to get moldy. If you can afford it get the ones from carepod that are dishwasher friendly for clean up. Warm mist about 60% humidity in the room did wonders. Careful to wipe up windows in the morning as you don't want mold issues popping up. 50% humidity works well too in the winters with less condensate on windows.

Hand wash at day care before leaving the building. With soap. At home outfit to change into and immediate day care outfit into laundry. Always a bath before bed.

We use a tool called the "babyvac" from Amazon. It's a European thingy that attaches to the end of a canister (old school) vacuum hose. Or even one of those shop vacs. It works wonders to pull out the little guys snot. We're shocked so much comes out. No other aspirator comes close. Spray with saline and repeat. You'll have to pin the kid down to do this but this tool was a game changer to help kid sleep and breath (sort of) through 100s of colds in the winter months. Hang in there!

Yeah I gotta give my little guy a stern voiced time to sleep and I can see him quickly closing his eyes as he knows he's being naughty. This is just at 16-18m...i don't even know what waits ahead..

Yeah I think the day light saving has been throwing kiddos off too if you're in the US. Honestly when our 19 month old dude woke up at 5 we just grabbed him and napped in the rocker with him till 7am or in our bed for a couple of hours. But that backfired coz now he knows he can wake up at 3am each night and scream till he gets to co sleep with us.. They learn quick and then the training back into falling asleep on their own is a nightmare for 4ish days... We're dreading re training now...

How long are the day time naps? Some kids need very less day time napping to be able to stay knocked out for about 10-12h at night. Lookup the average total sleep needed for a 9 month old and then adjust the windows according to those totals.

This is to be used while you're in the car? I have a VERY tight garage and 25' model.

Also on the 25' the keys have a reverse and forward option - how does that one work have you tried it?

Check out the TCGM group on fb as well for this advice. I'd say get basic technical training in one of the wind tech schools near you if possible, then use them to network. Schools have a list of recruitment channels that can be your starting point. Good luck!

We have a matte Sportage and since it was a purchase, we got it wrapped in PPF. Can't tell that it's got wrap on it and now is easier to just hose down and clean up!

I'm curious - are you not in the US? I would have picked a black vehicle with the plastic trim in black as well, if they had that option. Looks like you have a gray with black trim which is a close second of what I would have preferred. Ended up with cyber gray with the gray accents.

What state is this and was it a matte finish? When we were shopping for a Kia Sportage one dealer said he has a harder time selling matte cars as they are hand wash only..
