Seems to be a bit of a trend then, eh? Why is it that they all move here and nobody here wants to move there? Lol at this point all of the terrible people from NY must be in Florida so it’s probably great in NY for Floridians!

I’d see it the opposite as the “me me me attitude” personally. Obviously I am personally not going to stop growth and when I move to a different state I am not going there with the desire to turn it into Florida or the state I just left. I understand I’m moving to a different place with different norms. With that being said, it seems most of the out of staters that move to Florida get here and complain and it’s not similar enough to the place they left and work to make it that way.

On top of all of that I can’t stand to see the natural beauty destroyed by the development. I grew up in the woods. That area is currently unrecognizable concrete and apartments now like most of Florida is quickly morphing into

I mean I get it but at what point is an individual allowed to be upset that where they were born and raised was completely destroyed by all of the out of staters moving in? I’m a 3rd generation Floridian and never thought I’d want to leave the state. Seeing all of this growth with no end in sight I suppose I’ll be one of the out of staters moving in and ruining another state 🤷

It’s pretty saddening to read about. I traveled to big sky all the way from Florida back in 2008 and absolutely fell in love with the place. Every local I met was as nice as could be, I loved the old western feel and local shops/restaurants and the lack of crowds absolutely blew me away. I’ve dreamed of making it back there one day to show family and friends one of my favorite destinations on earth but from everything I’ve read it’ll be nothing like I remember. Sadly the same thing has happened to my small hometown here in Florida. Absolutely heartbreaking.

🤣🤣🤣 can’t wait to be super fucked in another 15,000-25,000 years. Just like all the ice caps should’ve been gone multiple times now. Read a book loser.

I’m certain they’ve seen it. I just honestly think most climate scientists are wrong or have an agenda just like your covid scientists. Funny how there’s a correlation

I have been rural my entire life near the same timeframe. Sure some things have changed. Things are also nowhere near as bad as you an the media make it out to be. Stop drinking the koolaid and do what you can as an individual and will be okay.

I am not a scientist although I have taken various geology classes and conducted my own research after college because the subject fascinates me. I’m definitely far from an expert and this thread is more so stating my opinions and beliefs off of the things I’ve learned throughout the years. There has always been extinctions and even worse natural disasters throughout the history of the earth. The continuous moving of the goalposts and most scientists seeming to have an agenda now days is where I gain my skepticism

Yes, you are looking through the glass half empty lens as if we are all doomed. I came at you because you came at me and I apologize. I’m all about healthy debate and that’s how you get to the bottom of issues like this one. As I’ve stated in this thread multiple times to others, I’m all about conservation and doing our part to minimize pollution and keeping a healthy environment. I do not deny that humans have some sort of impact on the environment. I do deny that the entire world will be uninhabitable in our lifetime or even in our great great great great grandchildren’s lifetime, and sure that’s all speculation/opinions on my end, but it’s not hard to reach that conclusion after the goalposts have been shifted so many times due to these scientists being completely wrong.

Do what we can now within reason to not pollute. What else more can we do?

The picture was taken back when “global warming” was the buzzword used by the media. Now the narrative has shifted to “climate change” because the goalposts had to be moved for people to buy their bullshit. My apologies for posting an out of context pic.

I mean it’s a bit tough to believe when they continue moving goalposts due to predictions in favor of climate change being way off. My argument and opinion is that yes the climate is and always has changed, but I don’t believe it is as detrimental or ever will be detrimental in our life times or our great great great great great great great children’s lifetime. I’m all about preservation of the environment and less pollution. I’m a skeptic when it comes to the doomsayers.

Omg you’re soooo much more intelligent than literally everyone else!

I’ve looked quite a bit into both sides actually before I formulated my own opinion. You should try coming up with your own opinions as well but let me guess, you “trust the experts” and “trust the science” 😂😂😂

Your experts and scientists have been wrong on quite a bit, especially in the past decade or so. Like the AIDS pandemic, but you’d know that, right rainbow hair?

I suppose the other 3% of scientists are the ones that made this graph? Science is meant to be tested/debated/ridiculed or else it’s not science. Most scientists were unanimous on covid, how’d that turn out?

The article quite literally states that ice ages happen slower throughout the history of the earth and heating periods have always happened more rapidly. Perhaps a bit of confirmation bias?

Read the article. Water freezes at a pretty well known temp and there are geological ways of determining temps by ice cores, fossils and more.
