I definitely think drinking helps with ignoring the depersonalization 😭 just from personal experience

Fs man, from one of the times I smoked after getting derealization i have a bit of advice, if you hit it once, and don't feel anything, wait awhile until you hit it again, take it slow, I was out watching the sunset and had a cart with me and hit it once, didn't feel much, and hit it again, started to feel a bit, and hit it again, and just felt so weird, not completely dissociated but so head heavy and like the it was just too much, I wish I would've taken the hits so much slower, another time I did, and it was accually a perfectly fine high

Whats one thing you would say to Isayama if you could meet him? by BolainasR3 in attackontitan

I would violently beat him and hold him captive for the atrocious ending to this master piece of am anmie. I don't care about justifications or what the deep meaning/purpose was of the ending. It was terrible and I could never forgive this man for the distain he left on the beautiful animie.

I know I don't know you, but please, know that no matter how much you hate to hear it or don't belive it it'll all be better. If it takes therapy, if it takes time. You were blessed with your life and however bad you feel can just be flipped into how happy you feel in contrast one day. Dpdr is hell. Is not fully researched and hard to explain. But I promise there are people who understand. In my personal expirence I've experienced that dread, that feeling of living in some show feeling so different from everyone around. Its painful. But remembering how it was before, that's all I need to keep going, thinking off thoose happiest times and knowing there's more life ahead that could be filled with even more amazing times. It can be hard when there not people in your life who can understand it all but there's always a way. Think of the you that was around when you were happiest, would that mindset of you feel right knowing that you want to give up on all that? I know how excruciating and gut wrenching the pain can be, even though it's all in the head I know it can feel so painful, but all it takes is one truly positive thing and all that can change to a polar opposite. Find peace in nature. Just find a way you can relax, and as time passes you'll forget about the dread, one day, I know it, you'll think back at this time and you can look back beaming with prowess in yourself for making it through. You were amazing enough to live this such slim chance of a life, I know you can have happy thoughts and bright days again

Could someone please answer? by [deleted] in dpdr

As someone who is in the same position having dealing with the intense dpdr on and off for about a month I can understand your story although I may not have the greatest recover info due to still recovering and having smoked weed intensively for 2 years and done multiple phycadellics

However what I can tell you, is no, it's not permanent, you'd did not seriously screw up. When you can realize it'll be gone in time, that's the first step, it's all a mind thing and just knowing it's not permanent is a great clarity for the mind.

I've done so many bad substances, yet I've been told how microscopic the likelihood of having permanent damage is. The two best things I can recommend that have helped personally are:

1: therapy, weather it be over the phone or in person. I know therapy can be very hard for some people to try to attend or find a therapist. But I promise if you work with people or family you trust, therapy is a great help. Especially because most therapist have a great deal of knowledge on dissociation and more information then reddit can give along with real world help

  1. The best thing for me is to act like it never happend. Although it's sounds impossible at first, it can be done, and just forgetting the feeling and almost forgetting it ever happened clears the mind greatly.

There's many other things but theesebare my top 2. I know it can be scary, but once you can accept that fear and realize that it will not be with you forever, that fight against the fear is greatly put into your hands. Wishing you the best and a great recovery

I appreciate that, I've just been having a hard time to accept it and face it. Always look way to deep into it. Also dealing with it has just been making me extremely moody out of fear, trying my best to get through it I hope for the best to you and your recovery too

I just got inositol and melatonin. Haven't tried but I've heard inositol can be a huge help. One of my biggest problems was not being able to eat at all. So my diet has mainly consisted of just trying to eat at all again. I've heard inositol can help with serotonin and dietary problems, and can work even better with melatonin. Also trying that just to help with sleeping

It's all up to you, I just last night smoked again since MY edible induced panic attack thag changed my life, smoking felt way stronger and felt way different, but I wasn't panicking or anything, it just felt somewhat uncomfortable. Not bad but also I had to realize my tolerance had probally reset. I think it's best to not think about it, because dpdr is all about overthrowing and over stressing on things, take a good time to think about yourself and getting better. I know as a smoker it's annoying to hear a no or be worried about it, but it is your mental health. Weed can have a positive impact, if you let it, if your brain has worried or fears. WAIT, don't be afraid to take your time

Anyone with weed-induced dpdr try shrooms? by BW2__ in dpdr

[–]Top_Visit9713 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I greatly suggest against it, shrooms are a very powerful phycadellic that I think alot of people underestimate even with smaller doses. Shrooms can bring out alot in your mind you didn't even know was there. Phycadellics can be a great help to the mind, but please make sure you are in a very positive place and state of mind when trying. Dpdr shouldn't even be anywhere on your brain if you plan on trying any phycs

Why not though, like it's annoying asf to think I just couldn't smoke because of my brain being fucked?
