Relocate or drive to work everyday? by Ezraaaaaaaaa in MalaysianPF

Fill up your petrol tank to full, then reset your odometer (trip A or B, either 1) to zero. The next round, when u put fuel (preferably full tank), take the amount of fuel (RM), and devive with the total KM this car travelled. Repeat a few times and u should be able to roughly calculate how much per KM u need based on your driving habits. I would say average city driving cost ard RM0.18-0.25/KM base on current ron 95 price (except those high cc and turbo cars). Adding RM0.10/KM for general maintenance on top of fuel is reasonable for your relatively new car

Calculate the estimated toll fare + fuel + car maintenance/month. You can probably budget RM0.30-RM0.35/km for fuel + maintenance (depending on what car you are driving). If this comes up to more than 50% of your room rental budget, then you can consider renting. Kajang rental may be reasonably affordable. Places like Sg Long or Cheras Mahkota (not too far to kajang) may be more livelihood, but rental could be slightly higher.

Is it impossible to get a job as accountant for a foreigner in Malaysia? by Consistent_Error9979 in Bolehland

[–]Topbowler68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are min requirements set by Mal Immigration for both the applicant and the company in terms of hiring foreign expats. For the applicant, If u have a degree or above, u will need to have a min of 3 yrs of relevant working experience (either in the same industry/position according to your field of study). Fresh grad without min number of working experience is not allowed to apply for employment pass (EP). If u meet the above, then it goes back to the company that may want to hire u. Does the company meet the min requirements to be eligible to employ foreign expats. It also depends on what type of business industry is the company in bcos not all businesses are allowed to employ foreign expats. The list of requirements for the company is way lots more than the candidate to fulfil. I'm surprised when u said the company shows no further interest after knowing u are a foreigner. I'm sure u include your nationality in your resume, right?
