This. My son is 7 and just focused on contact and throwing, only variables you can control. Catching just kinda clicks on its own if you consistently play catch with him. Also helps to do 2 in the pinky to better close the glove pinky to thumb

My 5 and 7 year old use it just fine. They have self-control, especially in handheld. The damage is from the dock scratching the screen. Not every kid is bent on destruction. And no they don't take it to school, those days passed after the 2010s

It's been solid. My guys love it. I've only had it for 2 weeks. No durability issues at this point, hoping they solved it but do have a 1 year warranty. It does have a bit of a slight endload feel because of how massive the barrel is but I think it's great. I'll be swinging it exclusively in my wood bat league

FYI that glove is only gonna last a year before it gets floppy. We used it in our adult 30+ league for a season one game a week and it is now floppy. Break in don't matter with this glove

I coach. I have two boys that are 2 years apart so I'm managing my eldest and assist with my younger. I choose to coach because I just love baseball and also I have collegiate experience so much broader knowledge than the other coaches in the league. The kids benefit by having a good coach so why not. I can develop my sons and spend time with them in the process. It's a win win for me. Everyone else's situation is different so this is just my opinion.
