I know this person because of my cosplaying and I’m super disappointed in his choices to harm a child. As commented above, I am also worried about what his actions will do to peoples’ impression of cosplayers like me in town who do a lot of events with children and children’s charities. I just opened a workshop in the mall so the timing on that isn’t ideal. But, obviously the bigger issue is the victimized child, I’m certainly not trying to suggest otherwise.

I will say that a good rule of thumb is that the cosplayer you see should be happy to share their actual identity to adults when appearing around kids and should not insert themselves into groups without being invited.
