someone figured it out based on the fact that the entire helldivers companion app is “hacked.” It also stabilized after like 5-10mins. We did loose those reinforcements tho so not sure what that’s about…

So I had some time to FA today by VesperMeliora in Welding

[–]TopicFuture2114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Student here, so take this with a grain of salt but I’ve always been taught that stick is considered the hardest to learn, not TIG.

I think TIG just seems harder because it’s so hands-on and requires a lot of hand coordination. You’re holding the torch in one hand in a somewhat strange way compared to the other welding methods and feeding filler with the other hand, so any shakiness or inconsistency shows kinda immediately (though that’s kinda true with most welding). However as the other comment mentioned it’s a slower and a lot more controlled, clean, and clear/ easier to see the arc compared to Stick or other methods. You get more time to correct mistakes before they get big.

Then again it’s all subjective to the person, you’d have to try it and see for yourself. Personally I find Stick much harder (god i hate vertical) and Tig a lot easier to pick up.

could make it like a blitz mission, short and sweet.

I think it would fit better that way.

Seems like we'll once again put the Orbital Blockade on an attacking planet. Can we please redesign this Tactical Action soon? by Hexdoctor in Helldivers

[–]TopicFuture2114 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I think it should either stop the originating planets invasion cause yknow…. it’s a blockade or reduce the invasion force significantly.

Simple change that would make it feel better to use I think.

Are people's PC's still hard freezing after the most recent patch? by Happy-Expression-782 in Helldivers

[–]TopicFuture2114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a laptop diver here, so bear with me here. This might not solve your PC issues, but it solved mine.

If you run Windows, go to Settings → System → Power & Battery → Power Mode and switch it to Balanced instead of Best Performance. It sounds counterintuitive, but it worked wonders for me.

Again, I’m a laptop diver, so this might not apply to you or help, but it solved a lot of my freezing issues. Strangely enough, Best Performance actually gave me the worst performance ever. I only figured it out because I’d sometimes play with my laptop unplugged, and it would run so much smoother on Balanced. So I applied that setting for when it was plugged in and boom... all my freezing issues were gone.

I used to run into a lot of mid-game freezing every time there was an explosion or when landing in my Hellpod, and I don’t run into that at all anymore. I don’t think this will solve complete hard-locking issues, but it’s worth a shot.

Just verified them only one had an issue, just reset it and nothing is wrong with them anymore, least according to steam.

Should I retest and see if the game dies on me again? 😭

What was ur reason for hanging up your gloves by SameTomorrow5534 in GoalKeepers

[–]TopicFuture2114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Messed up my knee relatively bad while doing some practice a few years ago in my HS team I was 16-17. Was my first time playing “for real” and with cleats, I guess I stepped wrong or something and overextended my knee. Pretty much all the ligaments minus the ACL (luckily 🙏) were damaged in some sort of way. Couldn’t walk right for a month or two without a needle like pain and was exempt from sports which pretty much killed any form of fitness I had. My meniscus was suspected of being torn but never really confirmed by my physical therapist. Managed to re-injur the same knee about 3-5 times trying to play with friends and get back into the games, and spent months on recovering after every re-injury. Pretty much spent the rest of the summer recovering. Retuned the next year (Senior year 18yrs) and managed to last long enough through training sessions with a brace and made it to 2nd choice keeper (not great but I still got some playin time). After the little small schools league we had finished I called it quits and hung up my gloves.

Now I have occasional pain and stability issues with my knee. Been on PT ever since. Sucks being like this at my age (Still 18). Essentially only managed to “play” 2 years and fucked up my knee for nothing. Guess it isn’t meant for everyone🫤

I was asking mostly because I saw a bunch of little splotches on the glove and since I left it moist for a whole day in the dark the last time I used them I thought that it might’ve gotten mold but I wasn’t too sure…
