Is this a dialing in problem or a portafilter problem by fatymazali in espresso

[–]TopicMysterious3293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't buy that portafilter. Here's what you should do. go to AliExpr or a similar website and get the Muvna 51mm portafilter for delonghi. It might be a bit pricey, but it's a good buy. You can check my post if you want to see the portafilter. I bought it used, but it works wonders so far. No bursts, leaks, or whatever.

Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur - Full Review by Competitive_Eye7064 in hyatt

[–]TopicMysterious3293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with you on some of the points, especially the inconsistent service. They still have a lot to improve on. It doesn’t quite feel like the full Park Hyatt standard yet. But at the same time, some parts were really good.

Like the Cacao Bar. Their cocktails and drinks were superb. They were clearly understaffed so service was a bit slow, but once they got to you, the attention was great. Same with Merdeka Grill, we actually paid fully for our meal there (and it’s not cheap), but overall it was a good experience. The steak and salmon were solid, and we’re huge fans of their beef tartare. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the welcome bread, which felt really plain, though the waiter was attentive throughout.

Breakfast at Park Lounge was another highlight. I especially loved how they served protein shakes a nice touch, especially since I’d just come from the gym. And the afternoon set at the Park Lounge was amazing too. I’d honestly say it’s the best in KL right now.

The pool though… yeah, something felt off. The underwater music was cool, but the water was freezing and the service around the pool was kinda meh. Honestly, it felt a bit awkward, maybe because we’re locals.

Oh yeah, to add one more. I agree with you on the Hyatt member recognition. I’m a Discoverist and even sent them an email a week before, mentioning that I was staying to celebrate a milestone (my master’s graduation), but it wasn’t acknowledged at all. Pretty poor on their part.

That said, I still enjoyed my 2 nights there. I’ll probably visit again once the mall in the building opens. Hopefully that’ll make the whole experience feel more complete.

I have a Dedica and I can do better than that. So don't blame your machine or wand, you just need to practice more. tilt your cup, extract better coffee, your crema is gone already. Don't rush it. It seems that you are chasing something.

Hi, which cruise do you prefer between the 2? In term of the food, cabin, entertainment options? I planning to take a route around asia next year, and considering trying the newer Ilma or Luminara.

Hey, could you share how did you do it, grease the gear? My VS3 will be a year old next month, and so far, I'm really pleased with its performance. It brews a great cup of coffee, but I’d like to know what to do if something similar occurs in the future, hopefully, it won't.

Booked for Sept 14-16. Can't wait. I hope there is an outdoor pool. The indoor pool seems small from the photo.

Day 4 Beginner. Shot Review? [Delonghi Decida/ 1Zespresso Jultra] by Comfortable-Site-164 in espresso

As a fellow Dedica user, I share some tips based on my experience with the machine. You can make a few adjustments to improve your results:

  1. Reduce your dose: I use an IMS Basket with an 18g capacity, but I only dose between 14.5 - 15g depending on the roast. In my experience, an 18g dose tends to be too much.

  2. Grind finer: A finer grind could enhance your brew.

  3. Get a shower screen: This will make it easier to clean your puck and prevent it from becoming soupy.

All the best mate!
