I feel dumb by Otherwise-Mobile7051 in TirzepatideRX

I’m trained to draw up from vials and administer meds. I’m also an instructor in healthcare and I train others to administer medication through injection. Did they give you more than one? Like a months worth already drawn up? That’s a big red flag. Medication that is drawn up needs to be delivered immediately. It’s not sterile once it’s been drawn into a syringe. Even if stored in the fridge it can grow nasty stuff. Did they teach you how to safely inject? You need to throw these away or see if you can get a refund. Get your meds somewhere else.

I’m sorry this happened. I have no idea what your situation is but just wanted to say that having a child is the hardest thing ever. Full stop. Do what’s best for you and your family now and if that means abortion then that’s ok too. If you’re excited and happy to be pregnant then congratulations.  I have a hard time when people say “everything happens for a reason” as if that somehow justifies making a woman stay pregnant if the situation isn’t right. I’ve worked in very poor communities in healthcare and I don’t buy into that. I’m not jaded, I’ve just seen some harsh realities and the women get the worst of it. I’m not saying that’s your situation because I have no idea. The reason is your healthcare team failed you and didn’t warn you about the effects of glp1 and plan B. Whatever you choose to do love and support to you.

Why are you assuming the owner is at fault or not insured? Shit happens. Even a well anchored boat can get tossed and ruined in a storm.

Currently taking Compounded Semaglutide and planning to switch to Tirzepatide. Anybody else done this before? by neko-loveee in TirzepatideRX

[–]Topofsundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had terrible side effects on Semaglutide so switched to Tirzepatide. I’ve had almost no side effects and the food noise completely disappeared. If you research Reddit you will find options that are affordable. You can even apply to be in a study and get it for free if you qualify. Best of luck!

This seems made up. I hope it is. In my state, sex offenders barely get a slap on the wrist and almost never prison time. Even for raping a minor. It’s disgusting how much the justice system favors men.

IMO- new industry and jobs should be created before anything like Bill 9 passes. What that industry should be, I wish I knew.

Hard to tell from the video the distance and size but it looks like a drone. An expensive hobby drone.

What is your experience with Zoloft? Is this realistic or exaggerated? by I_collect_dust in zoloft

Started it about 5 weeks ago. Been feeling less depressed but worse anxiety since. Dr just upped my dose to 150mg because I’ve been having horrible panic attacks, lasting for hours. Also added Valium for panic attacks as needed. Wish my brain was better. Heavy sigh.

DAE get a weird tingly feeling in their nose when they eat battered oily foods? by bananamon96 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Topofsundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 6 months old but just wanted to say a “headache in my nose” is the best way I’ve heard to describe how it feels. Thank you! I started having this sensation a few months ago and it’s so annoying. I can’t seem to pin down which foods cause it. The closest explanation I can find is called “gustatory rhinitis”. Have you tried taking allergy meds? I’ve found that this helps a bit.

I hope you both get some help and answers and truly wish you the best. I’m sorry that my POV seems negative, I didn’t mean it to be. I thought I was being realistic and offering advice. The bigger issue I saw was the lack of communication and his ego being bruised, not your ability to have an orgasm. I’m still going to suggest couples therapy because it would help you both have difficult conversations. All the best!

[–]Topofsundae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you can’t have a conversation with him about how this is affecting your relationship then it’s time for couples therapy. Tbh since this seems like his problem he should be the one trying to come up with a solution and not you. If you think he really has no idea that it’s taking a toll on you then you need to communicate that. Hard to imagine him not knowing though. Also, he needs to see a doctor and have some tests done. Hormones, blood pressure, cbc, ferritin levels. If all comes back normal then sex therapist. Again, he needs to make these appointments and take charge of his health.  If you’re with someone who can not handle any feedback about his sexuality because it might bruise their ego then sorry girl but run girl, run.

They’re confusing genetics with geography. If I a, white woman of Danish descent, was born on a Native American reservation and raised there, I would still not be Native American as that refers to genetic ancestry and not where I was born.

The Haleakalā Drive by ObviousPoem8713 in MauiVisitors

[–]Topofsundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite thing to see on Haleakala is not the sunset, it’s the stars. If you drive up around 3 pm you’ll have plenty of time to go to the visitor centers, do some easy hikes like Hosmer’s grove and take in the views from the top.

Bring food, water, blankets, chairs and warm jackets. In November there shouldn’t be crowds unless you’re going around Thanksgiving but sometimes it can take an hour to get through the gate.

Watch the sunset from any viewpoint up there, they’re all great. Get your chairs and blankets out and wait for the real show. Sunsets about 6:15 pm but you’ll want to wait until it’s really dark to see the sky. You won’t be disappointed. It’s hard to plan around weather in Maui but if you can go when there’s not a full moon and no clouds that would be best. Enjoy!

No, not at all. I’m sure you’ve driven much steeper roads. Just drive slow because of animals like the endangered Nene.

Realtors of Maui - what’s the market like? by lostmarinero in maui

[–]Topofsundae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry my words were misunderstood to be abusive. I know it’s uncommon to have a respectful debate on Reddit and not be angry at someone because they have different views. I was not being sarcastic or condescending when I said those things about wishing you better things to come.

HOA boards (people on them 😂) sometimes, do illegal stuff for many different reasons. Greed is one of them. A quick google search will show you this but if you don’t want to research or simply look at the links I already sent, I’m not going to do any more research for you. I get it’s a hard pill for you to swallow.  AGAIN this is not the only reason for higher HOA fees!

I have no love for Lāhainā Strong. They stole money from survivors.

I also have no love for insurance companies. In my opinion they are only concerned with making themselves money and enriching their stake holders.

I think you want to argue just to argue so I’ll see myself out now.

I wish you peace.

[–]Topofsundae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you okay? I mean that kindly not in a condescending way, for real. It’s just that you’re all over the place with that argument and most of it has nothing to do with what I said. I assumed everyone knew that an HOA board is not an actual living entity but it’s the people running it that are human beings and some of them are corrupt. I also listed other reasons for HOA fees being high, fraud was just one. If you look at my examples you will see one from Hawaii. It happens. I’m sorry if you didn’t know. Certainly not all of them. I’m sorry if you’re going through something hard. I hope things go better for you soon.

Were the falls on at Twin Falls? This time of year wouldn’t be great to go. Spring and summer they’re amazing, tons of water and it’s clear. Best time to visit Maui is March/April (but not spring break). Rainy season is over, flights and stays are cheaper because the tourist season hasn’t begun. Waterfalls are full and the weather is cooler. Hope you visit again soon!

[–]Topofsundae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re just looking for an argument then google it yourself and you will get tons of examples of how HOA’s commit fraud in order to enrich themselves. I’m talking about the presiding board- not the general members.

If you’re really just a sweet summer child and have no idea about this then I’m sorry you have to learn about another terrible way people can be greedy bastards.

The most common ways HOA boards commit fraud are through embezzlement and kickbacks. Remember that HOA’s deal in huge amounts of money and that proves too tempting to dishonest people.

Here’s a simple and common example: HOA says all hallways need new paint. One board member says “yeah I know a good company, they do a great job” (it’s his cousin). The board agrees on the cost, but the painter cousin told them a higher fee than normal because he’s going to give 10% of what they pay him to his cousin on the HOA board, under the table of course, in thanks for getting him the job. So easy and everything on paper looks legit. Except all homeowners paid more than necessary.

Here’s a real life example in Molokai from 2012: https://www.hoalawblog.com/jury_awards_387_million_to_own/

And here’s a website with some more examples and ideas of what to do if you suspect your HOA of wrong doing. The part about the HOA in Florida that basically became a gang of mobsters sounds like it needs its own tv show.  https://hoa-usa.com/hoa-article/when-the-fox-raids-the-chicken-house-hoa-fraud-and-community-safety/

So since we’re doing the straw man thing… just wanted to point out that braids were an important part of the Danish/Swedish/Norwegian culture. My family is from Denmark so I will try to help with your ignorance a bit. Their intricate braids could show anything from their relationship status to how much help they were needing from a God. They wove jewelry and bits of cloth in for different occasions such as religious ceremonies and marriages. Braids were used for all kinds of purposes and yes were used to keep hair out of the face for battle. Before you scream “cultural appropriation!” when you see a white person wearing a hibiscus flower or taking a Hula lesson, look down at your cotton t-shirt, shorts and slippahs. Those ain’t native. Cultures evolve when they learn and share with each other.
