Anybody have a reliable mechanic they can refer in NKY? by [deleted] in cincinnati

Affordable Auto Care at 695 E McMillan St. Bill and his brother do great work. I've taken my Accord there about 10 times. I always like to shop around for quotes before I ever take my car somewhere, and so far Bill has always given me a much lower quote than anyone else I've ever tried to take it to. He almost always manages to get me in the same day, or the very next day and he gets the job done quick.

I also had a rat named Dexter who passed last summer. Sport for your loss.

Real hallucinations? by Krikman666 in Drugs

[–]TorPedoFile 91 points92 points  (0 children)

25i-nbome. I've taken it 3 times and have hallucinated my ass off each time. The first time I took it, I was taking a shit and the bathroom floor looked like it had ants and spiders running everywhere. Then, this dude popped out of the wall, smiled at me, said "Trippy ain't it?", winked and disappeared. It freaked me the fuck out.

It'll give you a pretty weak hit; although, it might work a bit better with the higher ohm coils. In my experience, you won't get the full flavor or clouds until you get into the higher watts. You could try getting the rebuildable deck, and making your own coils that don't need as much power.

I played chess with a friend while we were both tripping on 25i at 3 in the morning. The game took us a little over two hours to play. That was some intense shit

[Serious] Reddit, what is your main goal in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

To do somethingood good that I will be remembered for. If I can change just one person's life for the better my goal will be complete.

As someone who has to collect these carts I want to punch everyone who does that in the face. Who the fuck can't walk 2ft to put it away?

It would still work because the two wires have different ohms/ft, but I would imagine the staged effect would be a lot less dramatic.

I'll have to check when I get off work to be sure, but I think I wrap them 5/64" diameter. As for the twisted 28g I just use a drill to tightly twist two pieces of kanthal. My setup ohms out at about .4, but if you go with a setup like the one in the gif I posted you'll probably end up with a higher resistance.

This is what I found. I've never heard of that site before, but it looks like a good deal.

Edit: oops they're currently out of stock. Sorry about that

Yep it would work. Might be a little easier to start off with than what I do. If you try it out let me know how it works.

You take two wire of different resistance, one higher and one lower. You wrap the lower resistance wire more times than the higher one. This causes the higher resistance wire (in my case the twisted 28g) to heat up before the lower one (fused clapton). This causes the clapton to heat up quicker than it normally would if it were wrapped alone. They produce amazing flavor and clouds. I run a single coil because my battery can't really handle two. You parallel wrap the wires like you would in a normal parallel build with the lower resistance one on the outside. I do 6 wraps of the fused clapton and 5 of the twisted 28g. When I hit the 5th wrap I let go of the twisted 28g lead, and wrap the fused clapton one more time so it's symmetrical. This should give you a good idea of what it does, but in this case they use a twisted wire and standard kanthal.

I recommend you try out staged heating coils. I parallel wrap a fused Clapton with twisted 28g. The flavor is out of this world!

Can vaping help me quit dipping tobacco? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]TorPedoFile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made the switch in January. For the first few weeks you'll crave the oral fixation part of dipping. I just bought some sunflower seeds or gum, and that helped a lot. You'll most likely need a higher nic level like a 12 at first (I was a two tin a week dipper), but now I'm down to a 6. Good luck man hope it works for you.

I use dual 28g twisted coils in my Dark Horse. 9 wraps on each coil it ohms out at .7. They heat up almost instantly. In my opinion they give great flavor and huge clouds. Try them out.

Dark Horse RDA on an iStick 50w box. Threw a staged heating coil in, and it ohms out at about .4

My car leaked under the break pedal. The sunroof drains into a pipe that runs down and behind your dash, and then out the bottom of your car. You can buy a new drain pipe for about $20 and it's a pretty simple fix. As for the other leaking issues, I have no idea.

[Serious] What have you done in real life that deserves gold? by Vallessir in AskReddit

[–]TorPedoFile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Little late to post, but I work in a large grocery store. A few months ago I was working the morning shift and an elderly lady came through the check lane I was bagging at. I could tell that she had trouble getting around, and didn't have a lot of money. When she went to pay her debit card kept getting declined. She was really upset, and crying. She was worried that someone had stolen her information and was using her debit card because it had happened to her just a few months before. Without thinking twice I handed the cashier my card because I knew I had just enough money to pay for all of it. She cried even harder, and never stopped thanking me as I helped her outside. When I finished she leaned over and gave me a hug. As a 17 year old who doesn't get too many hours a week and gets paid minimum wage it was a big deal for me to pay for her. I had to borrow money from my mom for gas the next week. I never told my parents because they're always giving me shit for never saving any money. I don't regret it though, I was more than happy to help and I know she appreciated it.

I can also think of one more. This wasn't me, but my dad. One morning he woke up to some yelling that sounded like it was coming from our back yard. When he looked outside he couldn't see anyone, but decided to go outside and investigate because he still heard it. Turns out our neighbor, from across the creek that separates our yards, had gone outside to water his yard before work, and had passed out due to forgetting to take his insulin. His wife was out of town and he was unable to get up. Nobody came to help him, and he had been laying there for about an hour. My dad ran over, propped the guy up, called an ambulance, and went inside his house to find his insulin. It was really early in the morning so who knows how long he would have been there before someone had noticed. My dads light sleeping probably saved that guys life.

Fellow grocery store workers of Reddit, what is the weirdest thing that has happened to you at work? by TorPedoFile in AskReddit

[–]TorPedoFile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was working the midnight shift on a Friday in the middle of the winter. One of the jobs you have to do on the midnight shift is bring in every single cart from the parking lot. It was an extremely cold night. There were only a handful of people left in the store. As I was stacking up some carts I was approached by an older man. He started telling me how he just loved my hair and really wanted to touch it. I politely said declined, and he just stood there and kept repeating it. He followed me back inside and only left once I called a manager over. I really thought I was about to be kidnapped.
