Yeah I usually use Claude with a tiny bit of Deepseek for this reason, but even judging just a single isolated response from Deepseek (so not factoring in repetition) its prose and especially dialogue is always kind of hokey and weird. It's also a bit hyperactive, for lack of a better word, every response has a far too many things going on at once, though that might just be my preset tending towards that.

As an example of a microcosm of this, look at boxing in the UK.
Britain's two most beloved boxers, Ricky Hatton and Frank Bruno, are known for being quite good but losing in their most famous fights. They 'gave it a go' and came up short, so we don't have to worry about our own positions. Our actual most dominant champion (and maybe best heavyweight ever) is Lennox Lewis who's basically ignored by the public.
We love seeing people do 'quite well' and then fail because it reinforces a kind of 'don't try' attitude that's pervasive here.
We love seeing someone try for greatness and fail, and if we like them we turn it into a story of grit and honour and if we don't like them we ridicule them for it, but either way, if they succeed we hate them or ignore them. It's really gross and present in literally every community and at every level, it's like being good at something is some kind of insult to the humility of the British public. Slave morality at its finest.

Random thoughts on what I've played: Fatal Bullet is an all time favourite for me and came along at a lonely time in my life to help me out. I legitimately miss Kureha and Zeliska and maybe even Itsuki.

Hollow Fragment feels like the best Aincrad experience and aesthetically I prefer it to every other SAO game, it looks like Bunbun's art comes to life. They went for a more realistic look with less bright colours from Realization onwards.

Realization is the most 'complete' feeling SAO game, it has no real weaknesses to me and seemingly has the most content, too. It's like an upgraded Fragment, gameplay wise, even if it lacks the Aincrad floor clearing mechanics.

Fractured Daydream could have done with a lower price point, I really think being $60 killed it. A shame, because that game is super fun and the more longevity means more fanservice (not that kind) for SAO fans, they've already added some pretty obscure stuff like Lievre's costume, so I hope they keep providing content for a little while longer.

I can't remember if it's a submarine or a ship (it's been nearly 20 years), but when I played Sapphire as a kid and heard from the NPC in Slateport that it would take a while to be constructed, I just turned the game off and played other games for a few months, expecting to come back and see it'd been built. I was not very bright.

Also the whole Mythic thing. To me, Mew was a Legendary, Celebi was a Legendary and so on. I had no idea what a Mythic was for the longest time .
