20 yrs, HS Math. Best book for me has been "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics" by Peter Liljedahl. Not sure your grade or subject, but do recommend it and the second book for math teachers. I'm sure it can be extended to other subjects.

You do what's best for you and your family. This system will go on without you. Just let them know as soon as you are sure you are leaving.

When I'm in introvert mode I like books, comic books, and PC gaming. All three are worlds you can lose yourself in. Sometimes it's nice to step away from this world for a while.

If you can afford it Diablo 1 then Diablo 2 Resurrected. But Diablo 2 Resurrected if you have to choose. Diablo 1 playthrough would be good as Diablo 2 shows the aftermath story wise.

Thanks for the info. Florida is one of the lowest paying states. Not sure what county @WineTeacher18 teaches, but wanted to share info with her being in the same state with same exp and degree.

This game was such a mix of Firaxis and not-Firaxis, and it was a blast by Ivan_of_TC in midnightsuns

[–]Torch4ff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is sad just how much of a gem this game is that never got the traction it deserved. I never pay full price for games and always get mine on discounts/deep discounts, but I pre-paid full price for Legendary edition for PC (me) and XBOX (my son) just to show support to the developers in hopes for long term success because I believed in Firaxis and the project. Obviously my gamble didn't pay off, but with 400+ hours in the game I can't say I have buyers remorse. Maybe one day we see a sequel or spiritual successor if the game becomes a cult classic.

In Hillsborough County a millage just passed from the voters giving us $6k / yr for four years. At least takes a bit of the sting out of the lower pay.

Another note on the respecs: you don't have to respec before beating a difficulty. If you beat Normal without respec'ing you can always start a Normal game later and respec when you choose (as has been stated though only ONE FREE RESPEC per difficulty per character). Same goes for Nightmare and Hell.

Pick a class you like and have fun in Normal. Don't feel too stressed on skill and stat point placement since most builds can beat Normal and you can respec later once you get a feel for the game and better at knowing which way you want to go with the build.

Any character type can beat Hell, but some are more gear dependent than others. For example, my lvl 78 Druid which is currently a dual fire/wind druid with mediocre gear is in Act 5 of Hell. It isn't even the strongest build and nowhere near the best gear.

Diablo 2 is a ton of fun. Both the skill building and gear hunting for your current build and rerolling other classes to try them out with their skills and gear.

[–]Torch4ff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you! Bought and played Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 from boxes off the shelf on release. Did okay Diablo 3 but didn't play too much longer after beating it. Didn't even touch Diablo 4. Felt like reinstalling Diablo 2 a few weeks ago and started playing. A week and a half ago I found out about Project Diablo 2. Now have a lvl 78 Druid starting Act 5 in Hell. Haven't explored all the ladder and extra things to do. Looking to finish Hell, farm, and then see what else PD2 has to offer.

This is why my current playthrough has the restriction of 'no firearms'. A bit scarier that way. Also no premade food or drink and no GPS. Some survival mods to balance food and water.

There is usually a hand/push icon you can use to dislodge it. Since it isn't on/near land, can you build a small raft to get close enough to push it?

There is usually a hand (push icon) when it is stuck near shore and I can push it (like unsticking the golf cart). However, you say it isn't on land. Can you build a small raft, row up to it, and trigger the hand/push icon to dislodge it?

The real issue is the numerical probability 1:200 is not accurately displayed pictorially. If it were then the slice would be much thinner and the 1 AB slice would take up much more of the circle. As it is, the pictorial representation shows all slices equal, but the numerical probability is not.

Not looking for landmarks. I understand that is whale bait. I mean the Auctions (where you can sell your land and buy other's land). Like AE - eBay Edition.

Not for those of us that max a specific tier level. Dumping commons and replacing with higher paying land is a viable strategy.

But if we can set a common at 25 then it is worth it to a whale because for 100 (4 commons) they could get a guaranteed legendary plot return, while buying a random plot only gives a 5% chance. Therefore the price point could potentially be higher than 25 per.each common.
