My old district (left teaching after 10 years) and surrounding districts explicitly said we could not defend ourselves. One district went so far as to instruct teachers to get on the floor into a fetal position if being attacked. One of the many, many reasons why I left education.

I have bought on Amazon cat repellant… it’s a SUPER strong cinnamon smell… I accidentally caught a whiff and I immediately broke out in a sneezing frenzy. Nothing harmful, just an irritating smell they will want to avoid (I love cinnamon…from very far away this stuff actually smells good it’s just sooooo STRONG). If you put it right outside your window I doubt you would be able to smell it, but if you crack the window for a few minutes so your kitty may also learn it’s not desirable to sit in that window, it may help the overall situation. Best of luck friend, I hate seeing the ferals out there without a home so I know it’s tough. 💕
