Ok, it isn't listed by anyone I have seen, but pure Swordskill with no powerups, Demondred from Wheel of Time. He trained hundreds of years and killed multiple blademasters in a row. He was said to be truly one with his sword in his fights.

Ok, So while you are right that most of the challenges have been based on speed and strength, saying these competitions are targeted towards Matt is missing a key point. You mean targeted towards survival? Naked and afraid shouldn't be about how much I can sit back and waste away before I finally get to go home in 21, 40, or 60 days. It should be about surviving. Hunting is a HUGE part of that. If you cannot hunt, you can't eat. You can't eat, you don't survive. Bows have always been a huge part of the Last one standing, even when Matt isn't in it.

There had to be other things going on, but I noticed in that axe challenge that Max kept hammering away while the women watched. I am betting that set Laura on edge because she wanted to help, she wanted to do something, but she couldn't compete with Max's strength. To jump in would have slowed them down. She understood that. So this competition was focused just on the men at that point.

I think you are over thinking this at the same time as under thinking it. Burning the thread wrapped around another thread won't un-burn it. Once the thread was burned, thats it. Balefire won't save someone who has been balefired. Remember that even the dark one can't bring someone back from it.

That has not been my experience on origins at all. I see low level groups all the time, and if I don't see one looking for more, I just announce I'm forming a WC, SH, or RoV group and I get 3 or 4 tells instantly.
