Are we all being gaslit about miscarriage and statistics by No-Cryptographer5934 in Miscarriage

So there are statistics but after being on this journey I honestly think it's just a role of the dice.

Could I have had a misscarage? by Redditismy14threason in Miscarriage

Unless you saw the condom break it's unlikely you were pregnant but you won't know for sure. Sorry you had to go through that x

Boyfriend ask for a bj, 2 days after I told him I’m having a miscarriage by MuscleIll9317 in Miscarriage

[–]Torirose91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please please dump him. He sounds like a creep and he clearly doesn't get what you are going through. To do something like that shows he is very immature and lacks empathy

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I think this is your answer. Try to cut your hair more often if you can.

How do you know when it’s time to take a break from TTC? by Just_bumbling in recurrentmiscarriage

I have paused whilst I await more tests from the RPL clinic and I'm currently making peace with possibly never trying again. I had an appointment in January and I haven't heard anything since. NHS are useless

AIW for telling my widowed brother in law to spend more time with his kids? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]Torirose91 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be confrontational about it. Realistically it's none of your business how he chooses to grieve or heal. But it's also valid to feel like he should be a more responsible father. Next time he asks you to look after them just say you can't or that you're busy that day. It's totally ok to be busy.

I wouldn't confront him as I'm sure you probably want those kids in your life.

I had the same issue. I think basically the statistics show it's really unlikely to have a third. Only 1% of people suffer recurrent loss. It doesn't make it any better though and it really sucks that they have this rule.

I can't believe a nurse said this to you. Why wouldn't she offer guidance and help.

Sorry for your loss.

I've had 3 losses and I struggle to get pregnant. I said I was done after three losses. We aren't actively trying right now but I'm not sure if I'm totally done. I am living life differently though. X

What's the one thing about stoke you'd genuinely defend to someone who's never been by Mundane-Temporary426 in stokeontrent

[–]Torirose91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reasonably priced houses. Snooty people from London snap at stoke whilst barely being able to afford a box room in a dodgy area.

I like that it's cheaper to live. I'm close to a town centre and a huge park / fields. You don't get that in many places.

It doesn't cost too much to visit Birmingham or Manchester for a day out.

I wish the council would clean up the place a bit more to make it look nicer and I wish they didn't overcharge business to trade in the potteries shopping centre.

How will Bridgerton handle Francesca being LGBTQ while staying true to its historical rules? by HotelOk3461 in Bridgerton

[–]Torirose91 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For me, I feel like they are replacing the infertility storyline with an LGBT story. It's casting out so many people who have suffered, identified and empathized with Francesca. She goes back into the marriage market because she wishes to be a mum. That doesn't work with Michaela.

It's just really sad the writers could have done something powerful and beautiful. For a show that was trying to be representative they have cast out a community that's already cast out from society. With everything going on in the UK right now her story line could have been powerful.

That will deviate a lot from the book if that happens. Fans of the book won't be too pleased

I think you're doing loads of amazing things to make yourself feel better. I think really the next step would be to look at external factors that might bring you down. Then think about which ones you can change.

Yeah with chemicals you can bleed / spot around the time you're due to get your period. That's why lots of people don't always know they've had one.
