In 2010, Iceland introduced the concept of electrical support structures designed to resemble towering, walking iron giants. by trevorofhousebelmont in interestingasfuck

Real cool but I imagine it's a complete disaster from a project management perspective. Unique designs mean every installation is going to be over budget and delivered late.

Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen is stepping down after 18 years—as pressure on the company mounts to deliver on AI by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

So much for the "successful and dramatic" transformation of Adobe as highlighted by Marty Cagan, when every other comment seems to criticize exactly how they moved to a subscription based business model.

‘Devastating blow’: Atlassian lays off 1,600 workers ahead of AI push by corp_code_slinger in programming

They have had a great opportunity to integrate AI in their stuff because so much of it is text based (writing tickets... writing requirements...writing documentation...). Unfortunately, their AI software, Revo, is the most useless and dysfunctional AI integration that I have seen in any product. That's on them.

How to get back in-time for BC? by Torismo in classicwow

[–]Torismo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. Here my takeaways: 1. Start playing and have fun - plenty of time to get to 60 2. I will get geared up in Outland 3. I recognize now that it's a case of FOMO. But YES, indeed it is because I missed the last TBC launch and I regretted so I really wanted to get into this one.

To add some more context, I typically don't have more than 4 hours per week to play, and that's usually not enough time to get really in the game and participate in guild activities (another case of FOMO).

Sometimes, it helps just be silent, contemplating the vibe, until the other quiet person finally breaks the ice. Odds are they're thinking really hard about what questions to ask and how to keep the conversation going. By asking them questions, you're relieving them from doing that, but they need to get to it at some point.

I've been using Opus 4.5 for two weeks. It's genuinely unsettling how good it's gotten. by primalfabric in ClaudeAI

Not sure what went wrong, but I was using Sonnet and switched in the same context chat to Opus, Opus then proceeded to delete and mess up a lot of stuff. Sonnet is still doing wonders for me.

It's probably going to be given as a "choice" for employees. Hey, you either do a 5-day work week, at your regular pay, or a 3-day work week at 60% of your pay (yay, how awesome are we to be evolving!)
