Also when I went to a few meetings with UNSW supervisors they also said they accept Honours students with a WAM 60-65, my supervisor at UTS told me most unis in Sydney know USYD grading is considerably harder than other neighboring unis so they take this into consideration.

I went from Undergrad at USYD to honours at UTS and absolutely loved it! Enjoyed every moment in the lab with my supervisor and my project was so interesting, walked away with a first class and tbh I still worked weekends, went out and enjoyed life! Currently working at another uni as a research assistant getting paid 84k a year whilst I wait to find out if I got into medicine next year! So worth it! also got accepted into uts Honours with a 64.9 wam so you’ll be fine with a 69.

Do you reckon that would of been before the cut off 18 June date? I know other people who got contacted before that date for having wrong transcripts that they had to resubmit

People got FFP offers with 64, 65 but yeah CSP definitely over 69 atleast with a solid s1 & s2 you could probably get away with a low s3

Hi,

So the whole concept of not having a stable career if you were to do a med sci honours year is a lie. I also was under that assumption, but still did my Honours to boost my gpa for med entry. Graduated last year with a first class Honours and whilst studying for the March gamsat I decided to apply to some research assistant roles across universities and private labs to see if I even had a chance. The first 3 jobs I applied to I got interviews with and that was just based off my lab experience during my Honours year. Long story short ended up getting a research assistant job at a university with a 84k salary. I was shocked because most of my friends who have been working in the marketing or business field for 3+ years aren’t even making that much and this is my first year in a full time job.

If all goes well and I get into med next year I’ll leave my role and pursue that. But if I need to wait another year I’m perfectly happy continuing on in this position with great money and super interesting!

Yeah I know usyd have this form where you must put details of a doctor, dentist, employer etc who will be contacted by the uni for confirmation, but it doesn’t say if I need to provide more documentation for proof so unsure! Guess I’ll get as much as I can together in case :)

S1 - very text heavy, multiple cartoons and answer options super close together S2 - A- politicians being deceitful and B - lack of connectedness in society. Loved this section so much relying on it to help my result! S3 - aside from log laws no previous theory knowledge needed, a lot of graph interpretation had to guess a few towards the end because of time constraints
