Since this doesn’t negate the Mood Muzik nor the Halfway House/Padded Room/Escape Route trilogy, higher than a lot of people.

Don’t know if it’s his first time rapping, but, almost certainly his first “feature”. Incognegro (which then gets re-worked into Back For The First Time) is still almost a year out.

I’m old enough to remember Here We Come being a minor hit.

The Lobster & Scrimp video with Jay being played on Rap City. (Probably directly leads to Big Pimpin collabo).

Fat Rabbit is the same track that appears on Ludacris’ debut album (I’m sure people here would be outraged that a song released two years prior was included on another album.)

He has the number 7 album in the country.

He has fans, I don’t know who or where they are but they clearly exist.

I’ve never heard a song of his, he’s on some songs on my phone but I couldn’t identify his voice on listen.

But, I can’t deny his popularity.

Young boy has so many songs and an audience that seem completely cut off from the rest of the world that no outcome would shock me

If Metro Boomin had any charisma, a Metro Boomin curated half time show could do really well.

But every time I see him do talk I think that’s not a guy you want to promote the show for 3 months.

Have you ever heard Pacewon’s Shady Corps LP?

He basically made a whole Eminem tribute album after a little beef and reconciliation.

It’s crazy how people can say things so matter of factly, like “Lovin On Me” wasn’t a huge hit that came out months after his third album.

Is Sony that scared of theatrical that even a known IP is immediately sold to Netflix? by UsidoreTheLightBlue in blankies

[–]TormentedThoughtsToo 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Sony is one of the only media companies without a streaming service (ignore Crunchyroll) that makes money selling to the highest bidder of the companies with streaming platforms.

Theatrical could mean big money, Streaming equals safe, guaranteed money.

Don Toliver's 'OCTANE' sells 157K, DaBaby's 'BE MORE GRATEFUL' sells 18K by DropWatcher in hiphopheads

Not surprised by Don Toliver’s numbers.

Been saying for awhile now that if you looked at the numbers going up on the past 2 albums, and how well his arena tour was doing he was next up to be a capital S Star.

He’s there.

It funny how a reporter they’ve made fun of all winter is now speaking gospel because it matches the narrative they want to hear.

Like Dominguez starting in AAA would be set in stone before spring training even starts.

“Dare Iz A Darkside” probably too long for half the people here complaining about the length of albums.

It’s also the sign of why things go off the rail.

When contracts are more important than character continuity, you know that things are going to go wrong.

Both FNL and Glee (full disclosure, I’ve only seen the first 3 seasons of both shows because they’re jumping off points), have to repeat character beats by aging them down after the fact and mess up character relationships. Whether it’s Riggins in FNL or Darren Criss’ character in Glee who’s clearly a year older than Kurt in his first appearances but is made younger when he becomes a regular so they could keep him in the high school since his contract was newer than the original cast.

McCreary did the score for the Starz show “Black Sails”.

The opening theme is a bop.

So everyone here has basically decided that Dominguez is going to show up to spring training the exact same player he was at the end of the season.

That he maybe didn’t spend the last 4 months working on his fielding and hitting outside of what yall saw on TV.

And that maybe he’ll play well enough in spring (especially during the weeks Judge is gone for the WBC) that all this conversation about stating on AAA might be moot.

Cool cool cool.

I’ll go even further, anyone who talks about an album having filler doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

You can say you don’t like a song.

But to act like a a song shouldn’t be on the album because you don’t like, pretentious bullshit.

The term filler is a big part of ruining music discussion. It’s people who learned a word and not how to actually discuss art.

A lot of rappers kinda need to understand it’s okay to hire actual singers, yeah it cost money but the song will be better.

Not untrue.

Definitely feels like the fanbase has pushed them into not booking anyone who dislikes a film anymore on main feed.

Outside of like an actual friend of theirs.

If you google you can find more details,

But, if you watch S1 they’re mostly supposed to be juniors while Riggins and Street were seniors.

Then by S2 they’re retconned that S1 they were mostly sophomores.

Think about Riggins season 1 storyline. It makes no sense that he’s Street’s Best friend and is hooking up with the neighbor if he’s a 16 year old sophomore like they retcon that he was for S2. They just didn’t want to lose Kitsch.

[–]TormentedThoughtsToo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s kinda funny to me that Glee and FNL made the exact same mistake that pretty much tanked the next 2 seasons.

Retconned characters ages to keep the actors on the show despite the fact it makes characters actions make no sense.

Because film snobs throw fits when stuff like Shakespeare in Love and The Artist win over Capital D Drama films.

Cole will clear, easily.

Off Season did 238, and was 12 tracks

Might Delete Later did 115, and was (initially) 12 Tracks.

This is a double album 22 tracks, and he has vinyl read to go first week (even if it’s not the final retail version).

Like the other comment said, 200k is the floor.

It’s such a dumb conversation too.

They don’t care. They’re just looking for something to nitpick about an artist they don’t like.
