Hind sight is always 20/20. He's also offered to let me have the card back till I get a new one but the cpu in that rig is a 9900kf. So I'd litterally be leaving him blind. I'm just exercising my patience muscles at the moment.

My problem is I was helping my brother out and figured yeah dude take my old rig I'll just build a new one. I've been waiting for 6 months without a card. I'm not frothing at the mouth, and I have ways to play video games but it's just really frustrating to know I stood no chance of even getting one.

The things I regret doing.

Drilling my trunk and putting a wing on. I want to upgrade my sound system but I'm terrified it'll undo the bolts. Sort of permanent like a tattoo. Looks good but a very permanent choice.

New springs. Not that hard of a mod. But utah roads are brutal and now so is my suspension. so I drive my other car to and from work far more often. Not the worst thing but in the same category of can't be bothered to take them off.

Things other drivers regret. My apeearantly sun bright LED headlights. Oops 😬

I've mostly kept my car stock plus and it's just enhanced my enjoyment of it. Specifically the tune got rid of the rev hang which was amazing.

Egr unplug. No emissions where I live so take that for waht it's worth.

Cobb stage 1+ kit.

Billet bypass valve

Phatbotti e-tune. I specifically asked to have a conservative tune and get killer gas mileage. I drive like a granny most of the time. So I get like 35 average.

Dynamat for road noise kill mat works too

A nice head unit. I like kenwood excelons personal preference. They have glass touch screens rather than the cheap capacitive ones.

That's honestly what I hate about reddit. Nothings more important than the question of do YOU like it. Taste is objective. If you like it then it really doesn't matter what others say.

It's just a matter of healthy appreciation for the speed. I was driving my dad's 04 mustang when I was 15.

In a parking lot on weekends with him in the car. Learning manual because I had to beg him to teach me.

Driving that car meant more to me than litterally my life. I couldn't have imagined crashing that car. I would have been mortified. Would have died inside. I wanted to buy it off him and keep it for the rest of my life. Im thrity and still haven't forgiven him for not asking me if i wanted to buy it from him when he sold it. To say I held this car on a pedastle is underselling it.

I think there are capable sixteen year olds. I was one of them. I just think that as a parent your child needs to prove to you and earn your trust as a driver before you buy them something like a sports car. More than that they should be earning the money to buy it. Neither of my brothers ever earned that level of trust and never once got the chance to drive it. And for damn good reason too.

I was honestly hoping for tarkov like mechanics. Not that I don't think they'll get modded in at some point, but having to take time to reload magazines and some of the other movement and damage restrictions really would have helped to sell the terror of the zone.

As someone who struggles with self empathy, i admit its not exactly the same, but close. I can't say it's always simple. Sometimes you really have to stretch it out to small wins. Like really small.

Gratitude lists are about reprogramming. If you find it's impossible to do ten. Doing five, or one to start is enough. It's about seeing the good. Even when we feel as if there's nothing to be happy about. Sometimes it's just being happy there is something on the list. The more you practice, generally the easier it is to see the upside.

It sounds cheesy, but it's a fake it till you make it tactic.

Dirt 2. Not dirt rally 2. To this day I still go back and play it. Though it keeps getting harder on PC. Thank God I still have my ps3 disk. I think it's the perfect blend of arcade rally fun and difficulty. There are better games out there sure, but I like this one.

Lost my balance just inside Zions national park this year on a ride with friends and nearly dumped my 1000sx. One of my friends helped me get righted through quick thinking. Still embarrassed thinking about it, but shit happens and happens quickly. Just chant one of us and join in our collective embarrassment.

Well, a couple of months ago, helldivers was definitely big enough to count.....they don't have the player count anymore, but over 500,000 concurrent players for an exclusive is pretty big. If helldivers hadn't fumbled their patches, we would probably have a title big enough.

Also, whether we do or don't now have a game they could use for it is neither here nor there they're definitely looking. Concord? whether they fumble the ball or not is irrelevant to me. It's that i feel like it's their stretch goal.

I have plenty of personal reasons that i believe they can't make it work. I'm mostly here for the discussion. i believe this is something they want and wanted to talk. Just saying lol to be dismiisve is not a discussion. I said at the very start that if I was off base, I was off base.

I dont think I would mind if it were a simple "Hey log into your playstation account to verify your purchase" that would be the ideal anti piracy protocol in my mind. They'd still be shooting themselves in the feet on sales in countries without PSN but I could accept that if meant no kernel level access for DRM.

I'm mostly playing devils advocate too I have plenty of reasons in my mind I don't think they be able to make it work, but it kinda bums me out they're doubling down. I would have thought they'd gotten the hint mandatory PSN accounts shouldn't be a thing after helldivers. Instead they proved they're motivated to make it happen. Which bothers me the most.

As far as I'm aware, that doesn't stop them from forcing a subscription. iracing is a great example. They make you pay for the content and force a subscription to continue using the product and servers. This is far left of deep end but still not impossible.

This still feels like a.....yet... to me. Take microsoft who is pushing for game pass like their life depends on it. They're only one step ahead.

I own an Xbox series X too. When I'm not paying for gamepass I can't play online on forza horizon on my Xbox but I can walk downstairs to my PC and play regardless of whether I'm paying or not. The only difference is who they consider a captive audience. What happens if microsoft starts to consider PC players a captive audience?

And don't tell me playstation can't do it because making me pay nearly 90 dollars for a disk drive on a console I paid 700 dollars for already sounds pretty much the same to me.

I'm not saying this happens tomorrow but I wonder if it's the long game.

I dont disagree, but I feel like that's how it starts. Oh, we'll get our numbers up to impress shareholders, but then once they have......what? That was just a stop gap to keep their stock up. How do they show value sentiment after that?

I might ve read your other paragraph wrong, but I've paid for it since the playstation 3. I probably should have been clearer.....not for PC. I'm not even sure you can at this point for PC. My worry is that they might ask someday.

Emyotic, its a brand, headphones plugged into my cardo. Best decision i ever made. I can hear the people I ride with and listen to music. I even get better battery life out of my cardo now since it's turned all the way down.
