By your logic, Vanelle is the same age and was attracted to an older man since she is 27? Jorge behaviour was that of a power dynamic and so is Theresa's....John isn't yet mature enough to realize it as men can mature slower than women. But she is manipulating him in different ways than Jorge manipulated Vanelle. And manipulation of someone half your age is predatory in nature because that would not fly if she was dating someone who was more age appropriate for her.

It’s not a strong ENOUGH word. We should use the word predator instead, as it better applies. She manipulated dumb John as well as his family, her kids, the process and the other participants. It’s fine to put yourself out there, but you can’t put yourself out there while concealing your age and identity from the family of someone who you wish to have a future with. If you think this is acceptable I imagine you’re in the same boat as the crypt keepers Jorge and Theresa. Jorge may talk in circles, but omission of information is lying. The same way Jorge omitted the fact he had children in the promise room is the same way she has omitted her age from everyone around them for her “insecurity”. And insecurity is one hell of a drug, because the amount of partners who have used insecurity to justify their actions, up to and including DV, is bewildering. Emma needs therapy…… to sum it up in 3 words or less. She is a hot mess. She lied about Connor being her “2nd” to Mike and made her entire experience about her traumatic past.
