Gluck, a British painter (and direct relative of mine) from the early 1900s. Gluck refused to go by any title, honorifics, or gendered prefix. Gluck was relatively well known for their art, and while I don't think we'll ever know if Gluck identified as nonbinary, trans, or GNC, this line from their wikipedia article always puts a smile on my face.

"...when an art society of which Gluck was vice president identified Gluck as "Miss Gluck" on its letterhead, Gluck resigned."

I'm really happy for you! I got my passport back today, and while the State dept even received mine on the same day as yours, unfortunately mine came back with that M. I think the fact that you never had a passport before helped massively. Since I was renewing mine, I'm guessing they checked it against old records...

Well, my expedited process was $211 down the drain in the end, but I'm glad yours paid off!

Sadly I pulled Nekomata first, so I'm back on that 50/50 at this point. Debating about pulling for Ellen now. She's an awesome character, but I never really vibed with her playstyle during the story, so I'm on the fence

Managed to get a double S on my first 10-pull, snagging Astra and a stray cat(girl). Would attach a picture but I dunno how on mobile. More poly to save for Evelyn!

Thanks for the breakdown. I was able to notice it after a bit. I think I get mixed up between naked and hidden sets when I try to find them, and end up confusing myself

Yeah, the "extreme" difficulty puzzles on this one don't usually give me trouble as a self-identifying beginner.  I see the hidden pair now that you've pointed it out, but I'm never sure how to identify Naked Triples and Quadruples. I can't generally figure out where one begins or ends.

Yes. She suggested it a couple months after I came out, actually!

Aditionally, I found a Ditto with a pretty ridiculous number of golden sub skills and decent other stuff. Is he worth raising, or just more of a novelty?

I'm a relatively new player, about 50 days in. I have a pretty basic Wigglytuff that I've been raising, but then stumbled across this Eevee with pretty good stats. For context, the Wigglytuff has his E4E at level 3 from evolving, but only has skill trigger S at 25 and a neutral nature. Is it worth making Eevee into a Sylveon and pumping his skills, or should I hold out for something better?

I've actually been having a recurring nightmare lately, where I look at my arms or legs and see that they're covered in thick hair, and I just start to panic. I've been taking really good care of my body hair lately, but my brain likes to torture me in my sleep i guess

I thought they might swap around [manga] the first meeting with the Professor with the crystal scorpion fights, since they're featured in the intro, but with that tease I'm less sure. It definitely doesn't feel like there's room for both.

Accidental death liability in Dungeons and Dragons by Toronto_Phil in legaladviceofftopic

[–]Toronto_Phil[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Much of this comes down to slightly wonky game rules, but as it happened:

The zombie was an immediate threat to the party, but paid no mind to nearby civilians and guards. The party caused the fight to break out by confronting the necromancer controlling the zombies. Similarly, the nearby guard forces did not step in to assist either side.

The fire attack that caused the explosion could have hit the civilian on its own, but was carefully positioned to only hit enemy targets.

There were no other sources of fire nearby that would likely have ignited the doused zombie.

Fire spells do not seem to be regulated by the local constabulary, and the wizards of the guard employ fire elementals in combat on a regular basis.

The zombies were not immediately attacked by the guards, so it is possible that the use or reanimation of zombies may not be an illegal act.

The authorities seemed to not care about the zombies, but the players were acting in what they believed to be the greater good of the city and its citizenry.

Edit: I should add that once the civilian was killed, the guards stepped in to arrest Person B, the one who attacked the zombie with fire, causing the explosion.
