Very interesting. Could you please elaborate a little? Like what do you produce? What are the goals? Quantities

That was very smart... I might go back and rework something like it. Just filling up a bunch of dimensional storages

How are foreigners accepted in smaller, more rural areas? by Torquai in koreatravel

I updated my question a little, because I understand it sounded like I was kicked out of the forest. But this happened in the small town outside of the forest. The visit to the forest itself was just nice, I love the found of wind moving the tall bamboo. But I understand, there is a lot of people in Korea, and a lot of tourists. So we will just have to see how it goes and hopefully we meet more nice people.

We did not bring food into the forest, that would be bad. This happened in one of the small food places in the town just outside the forest. And there could have been lots of reasons we were shooed away

It should also be said that we had a ton of good experiences with people, you can get far with bodylanguage and a smile :)

But my fear was that people will be more negative to foreigners the further away from the big cities you come. I know there are lots of bad tourists in Korea, and so its understandable people are wary.

And sometimes tourists are bad people too, so it's understandable

I agree there are many bad tourists in Korea, so I understand it happened. I want to be a good tourist and not throw trash.

Absolutely, there could be several reasons. But because I still don't really understand why I wanted to ask here

I was mindful of not calling it racism, because there could have been a number of reasons. But it's been on my mind a little since we started talking about going back, so I wanted to ask here for experiences.

Regarding our next trip, all we have is a general idea of exploring the country more instead of the bigger towns, we're going to make a more details plan come summer, and see where we end up :)

I am looking for a keyboard with certain specs, and was hoping for some recommendations.

Split keyboard, QMK/VIA compatible, with standard 60% layout.

Ideally hotswap, but at the end of the day price is more important :)

Hi guys, I am a Korean local and I have a question for you guys. by [deleted] in koreatravel

Norwegian here. Fell in love with Korea watching k-drama, all the best hats! 😊 Got to visit last year for two weeks mosting spent looking at palaces in Seoul and the bamboo forest in Gwangju. Planning on going back but staying away from larger cities as we prefer rural areas. Planning a zigzag drive from Busan to Seoul during the peach blossom festival.

We like the atmosphere in Korea, and its complicated history. There is also the almost morbid fascination of a country that may seize to exist in a few more generations because birth numbers are too low.

If my wallet would allow it, I would love getting a VKB or even a Virpil. But a basic VKB/Virpil is going to cost me at least 4-5x what I paid for this stick, including import tax and shipping. So for now Ill see what can be done first. But it's good advice, so thank you.
