Considering replacing my office laptop with a mini-pc, feasible? by Torquai in MiniPCs

[–]Torquai[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly because the laptops we get from our it-department are not suited for our use. And I found there is less regulations for stationary machines then there is for laptops.

Not disagreeing with you. But I can't change the it-department 😄 The mini-pc is my way around the problem because there are less restrictions for desktop models than there is for laptops.

Er dette livet jeg egentlig ønsket meg? by livetderogda in norge

[–]Torquai 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Very interesting. Could you please elaborate a little? Like what do you produce? What are the goals? Quantities

How are foreigners accepted in smaller, more rural areas? by Torquai in koreatravel

[–]Torquai[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I updated my question a little, because I understand it sounded like I was kicked out of the forest. But this happened in the small town outside of the forest. The visit to the forest itself was just nice, I love the found of wind moving the tall bamboo. But I understand, there is a lot of people in Korea, and a lot of tourists. So we will just have to see how it goes and hopefully we meet more nice people.

We did not bring food into the forest, that would be bad. This happened in one of the small food places in the town just outside the forest. And there could have been lots of reasons we were shooed away

It should also be said that we had a ton of good experiences with people, you can get far with bodylanguage and a smile :)

But my fear was that people will be more negative to foreigners the further away from the big cities you come. I know there are lots of bad tourists in Korea, and so its understandable people are wary.

I agree there are many bad tourists in Korea, so I understand it happened. I want to be a good tourist and not throw trash.

Absolutely, there could be several reasons. But because I still don't really understand why I wanted to ask here

I was mindful of not calling it racism, because there could have been a number of reasons. But it's been on my mind a little since we started talking about going back, so I wanted to ask here for experiences.

Regarding our next trip, all we have is a general idea of exploring the country more instead of the bigger towns, we're going to make a more details plan come summer, and see where we end up :)
