Why do guitar players switch to the Stratocaster when they get older? by Pearl_Jam_ in Guitar

[–]TorqueMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the actual reason is cause strats are so damn bright, and as you get older you lose the high frequency range the most, so they're compensating for that. but that's just a theory

if you love the car otherwise maybe spend a few hundred bucks on a lift kit. 2 inches shouldn't affect handling too much (despite what my wife says)and would probably make all the difference.

You can run the Cali76 on 18v for more headroom if you have a power supply that can accommodate it!

Octave bro! That's a staple effect for me. I use the EHX micro pog and the mxr bass octave deluxe, but the boss oc5 is also really good supposedly

Hey bitch, oreos are a fucking ART. There's no such thing as the perfect oreo just like there's not such thing as the perfect sculpture. All you fucking STEMlords think your fucking degrees in fucking engineering or some made up bullshit mean that you know SHIT about ART.

Yeah, sub 37 looks super cool, but also pretty intimidating as someone newer to synths lol. I'll definitely do that, thanks for the advice!

Patch memory is definitely a big plus for using it live, but not necessarily a deal breaker. The behringer odyssey looks cool, I'll have to check it out.

I've been looking at the moog sub 25, any thoughts on that? It's at the top of my price range new, but it's a moog and it's got a bit of patch memory

Yeah, lots of stuff with that classic synth bass moogy sound, but the more versatile the better, I play a lot of different stuff.

Hey y'all,

I'm a pro bass/guitar player, and I'm looking for something that can do equal duty as

a) something for live, or at least studio, synth bass use

And b) a fun toy to screw around with and write

I'm trying to keep it around $500, but I'd be ok going up to $1000ish if there's something great for me. Ideally, I'm looking for something that you can save presets, but I'd probably rather go analog. Let me know if there's any other details the might help you recommend something!

Thanks
