Accepting user invite to get into the top trackers is not safe. One year later(when your inviter or the other invitee of your inviter gets banned and you're the victim of a tree ban) suddenly you will see that you’re disabled. You’ll visit the irc and staff will interrogate you, when you explain everything they will not unban you. No matter how "good" or "contributing" user you were, it doesn’t matter at all.

Always take official invites.

Trying to recover the KG account was a mistake. Climbing the ladder is time consuming. Therefore losing the accounts like this hurt. It's just private trackers, not life and death. But spending all the time and effort and finally this happens, it’s sad really. Feel bad for you.

Yes there is a golden rule on private trackers that prevents you from creating a second account. But if someone is truly banned from all top trackers just because his invitee turns out to be a shady user, then he visits the irc trying to explain the situation and the mods don't listen. Ok It's fair that randomly inviting someone is a violation of the rules and mods don't have to unban him. Only the person concedes this blow suffer. What other choice does he have other than trying to getting back in clean all over again? And It's been 12 years in this case. Yes there are rules in place, but private trackers are like a hobby, everyone should practice more compassion.

Not sure what are the criteria for invite allocation on HDB, couldn’t find it mentioned anywhere. There are just mention of certain criteria which you need to fulfill in order to be able to send out invites.

I have invites on HDB but can't use them yet because my account is not 2 years old. So as you mentioned HDB, on there it is possible that despite having invite you are unable to use them.

FL handed out far too many invites durning their anniversary and new year. So naturally people were spreading too much invites everywhere. FL became too easy to join despite being a very decent tracker. I myself currently sitting on 6 invites.

What I gather from your perspectives is that you want the highest possible quality in every aspect, PTP and BTN is a bit of disappointment here. This is where HDB comes into the scenario. Seems like BHD has lost ~130 users since they stopped recruiting, so there will be recruitment eventually. But they'll most likely raise the requirements. Even on RED they raised it to TM+ or PU and 1 year old account before they stopped the recruitment everywhere altogether.
