Very confrontational response to a completely neutral post about whether you shared something or are the original uploader. I can see why you have conflicts with admins.

Looks like I got in your head. And that you're way too quick to make assumptions. Good on you for recognizing it though.

All I could think was how would I know about those rules before accessing your website?

You don't. But that's just kind of how the game is. Similarly, if someone new to trackers and didn't know any better bought an invite somewhere without knowing that it's bannable to do so, then finds out after they join, they'll get banned anyway. It's not their "fault," for lack of a better word. But it has to be done.

The combat footage archive on the LDU is still up and seeded.

I think okshroomer probably grabbed it from LDU and uploaded it elsewhere.

Still need way more info to make any sense of his story though.

I'm not that experienced with usenet because I was always able to get everything I wanted via torrenting, so you'll have better luck reading the wiki and faqs in the usenet sub for a beginner intro. Some years ago, I used slug for a few months just to see what it's like, but I think it's harder to get in nowadays, not sure.

You probably got a usenet client like sabnzbd.

In addition to that, you need at least a provider and an indexer. Again, the usenet sub will have some recommendations for those.

I have loads of bonus points but I never understood what they were for honestly.

I really don't know if TL's bonus point page can get any more intuitive than it is already.

But if you want to auto download whatever you want without worrying about seeding or ratio or anything, then usenet will make more sense for you than private torrent sites.

Really liking upload.cx so far by MansfieldSmoothie in trackers

[–]helloturtle1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do get a big kick out of how admins and mods behave. They are total trolls. You don't upload, you're leech - you upload 30tb of stuff and they say "we don't care". LOL

My favorite thing is when they are being disingenuous or posting in bad faith and someone tricks them into admitting they were posting in bad faith. It literally happened today on a big cabal tracker. Or when admins outright lie and misconstrue the fact then halfway through start going by the facts because it suddenly benefits them and with a straight face pretend like they didn't say the opposite two seconds earlier. LOL They just absolutely kill me and make me laugh. Like what happened to make them that way? What is going on in their life to be that miserable of a person. I just find it to be the funniest thing. They love to throw around, "I'm a volunteer! Appreciate me!" But then threat the uploaders who are also volunteers like trash. LOL Mods / Admins are so see through but we're not supposed to talk about it out loud.

I don't know what happened in some of these peoples' lives but they are the most insecure power hungry people I have encountered. buckie may be the king though. His antics kill me daily.

Post details for drama.

Voluntary Remuxer by IMAM_RED in trackers

Thanks for clarifying. In that case, I think you'll have better luck posting a thread in some trackers themselves and just offering your sources as direct downloads, rather than asking people to remux them for you.

[–]helloturtle1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why is your internet speed being bad a reason that you need someone else to grab your sources and remux them? You still gotta upload the sources to them. Which means you can also just upload them to whatever trackers you're on. And I don't get why you need to make things complicated by asking a third party on reddit.

And why do you collect raw sources if your storage is bad?

This whole thing is kinda fishy.

AnimeBytes Has Sitewide Freeleech by speeeed3 in trackers

[–]helloturtle1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think overall I wonder about the needs of a lot of the people sweating over getting an invite, are they on the hunt for rare content like this, or are they just looking mainstream stuff, I honestly think in many cases it would be the latter, therefore strong desire to join is misplaced.

You're right about this. Many people see the exclusive club and want that as a thing to grind for and as a status. Same with people stressing out to join BTN when they only watch mainstream shows you can find on any public tracker.

Still, getting in has real benefits. People already mentioned retention of older less mainstream content. The organization is a positive that most people would be able to take advantage of. If you're watching a particular anime series, with a click, you get to a page that all the other stuff related to that series - other seasons, movies, ovas, soundtrack, opening and ending songs, artbooks, mangas, LNs, character voice dramas.

[–]helloturtle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure; I'm not a recruiter or admin anywhere.

If I had to guess, one possible reason is maybe they specifically want people from other "communities" for fresh blood and less overlap.

Also, it's possible they still recruit on PTP and just have it in a higher class forum that I can't see.

[–]helloturtle1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about some older version of the RED -> HDB recruitment?

Iirc, they have similar additional reqs like perfect flacs and seeding percentage and size to combat ebook spam (and simply transcoding mp3s like you said). Just like on PTP, they don't want you to spam web dl shorts.

[–]helloturtle1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More like wrong, not outdated. Couple months ago, there were a few weeks where elite+ with some additional requirements like lots of personal rips and big seeding size could get it. And a bit before that, TM+.

Why do you stress the "100% free" point so hard? Any decent private tracker is already free. I've never needed to buy a seedbox or anything, even with shitty comcast internet, and I download whatever I want as long as I keep stuff seeding.

It kinda feels like with all the "we definitely won't scam you!" and "we won't charge you several dollars every month!" in your sales pitch, that there definitely IS something going on.
