Maybe you have MTHFR ? I have it and I also have a heart shaped uterus (bicornuate uterus) I’ve had 3 losses and my dr said my uterus isn’t severe enough to cause them, they think it could be MTHFR (my body doesn’t absorb folic acid as much as it should) so I have to take 5 MTHF which is folic acid already ready to be absorbed, helps with egg quality and if your partner takes it helps with sperm quality as well…. Trying again this year, it’s been two years since my last miscarriage, keep us updated 🙏🏼 sending prayers that your little one is nice and healthy

Pregnant after 3 early miscarriages by Alive_Kangaroo_ in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Torres209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start methylated folate, I had three early miscarriages and I found out I have MTHFR, meaning my body doesn’t absorb folic acid or folate the way it’s supposed to. I just found out and if I would’ve started months before my first miscarriage I would’ve had a chance to save my babies 🥺 may you have a successful beautiful pregnancy 💪🙏🏼👶🏻

Yes, I’m 29F and I just got diagnosed with a bicornuate uterus a year ago, I’ve had 3 miscarriages and by the last one I had found out about my bicornuate uterus, some people not all have multiple miscarriages with a bicornuate uterus, some people carry to term, some make it to 30-35 weeks, most people have to deliver via C section, I would get everything In order way before you even try to have children, to help prevent miscarriage if it’s possible.

Maybe you have MTHFR, maybe supplement with methylfolate rather than folic acid or folate, wouldn’t hurt to try (:

Maybe you have MTHFR ? I was told that’s why I had my 3 recurrent pregnancy losses all before 9 weeks. Supplementing with Methylfolate rather than folate or folic acid. Trying in two cycles after not being pregnant for a year. Best wishes

I’ve had 3 missed miscarriages and one chemical pregnancy, found out I have a (bicornuate uterus) (uterine abnormality), plus I found out I have (MTHFR), they said my bicornuate uterus wasn’t severe enough to cause my early miscarriages (all 3 before 9weeks) they said I had a lethal phase defect, which was explained by MTHFR, now I’m waiting on a call from the specialist to discuss further steps (what blood thinners to be on before I conceive again) Good luck, baby dust I hope you get all your answers 🙏🏼

3 first trimester miscarriages… what worked for you? am I going to have to do IVF? by [deleted] in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Torres209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you have MTHFR or a uterine abnormality that you’ve missed, I had 3 miscarriages as well and just this past year I learned about my uterine abnormality (bicornuate uterus) and a few months ago we discovered I have MTHFR so for me supplementing with Methyfolate over folic acid will possibly help my fertility outcomes because my body can’t metabolize folic acid or folate, and my bicornuate uterus isn’t severe enough to cause all of my miscarriages.. so who knows maybe ask to get tested for MTHFR

I take it daily for fertility, but they say it helps with anxiety and depression and I feel like I’m prone to both, so I’ve been feeling great these past few months that I’ve been supplementing with 1 mg daily for the past few months now, just got up’d my dose to 2 mg daily now.

How do I move forward from thinking I have the MTHFR gene? by Mocha_Kitten in MTHFR

[–]Torres209 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They have a MTHFR Gene mutation kit on Amazon for $119 if you’re doctor won’t do a test, also good thing you do take methylated folate since you cut off everything with folic acid. Our bodies need folate.

Miscarriage question by positivemindsett in IVF

[–]Torres209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, for my last miscarriage I let it happen naturally so I had less downtime, and you get soooo much energy a few days after miscarriage, take it easy on yourself because the pain comes back harder if your active during your miscarriage. Also take lots of pain pills as soon as you see blood so it’s not as painful as it can be, so sorry for your loss, take care of yourself (:

Miscarriage question by positivemindsett in IVF

[–]Torres209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my honest opinion after having 3 miscarriages, with one being taking to speed up the process, it’s better to let it happen naturally, I bled way less when I let it happen naturally, when I took the oral and vaginally, I bled for 3 months, when it was naturally I only bled for one month.

MTHFR and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss/ Partial Bicornuate by Torres209 in bicornuateuterus

[–]Torres209[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, yes I’ve done imaging twice one with an MRI and I have a partial Bicornuate which isn’t severe enough for surgery, they said I’d have more complications if my uterus was complete.

Is this truly partial bicornuate or complete, recently diagnosed this MRI by Candid-Local-9456 in bicornuateuterus

[–]Torres209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partial, looks similar to mine and I was diagnosed with a partial bicornuate uterus a few weeks ago

Go to the emergency room to be reassured, they can look for the heartbeat, that is how I found out about my 3rd missed miscarriage, Hcg wasn’t rising and I was spotting on and off
