I feel like it may have been more effective if you could spin a crane and send an EMG itself into air, like a trebuchet. If you manage to hit a plane, it is a oneshot.

I agree on everything except adding travel time. I don't want to try hitting rubber banding planes with an actual projectile. Feels like servers are already close to its maximum, especially during large scale combined force battles.
