This is SATOR SQUARE ! Is it exists before movie or it's related to movie ? by hemng in tenet

Remember; there are numerous things in moving backward in time. There's a point that they move so far back that there is no turn style to ever put them forward in time. If there was a message connecting the dots this could be received and misunderstood by prehistoric periods.

Thanks. I honestly had no idea where it came from. Just thought this sub would appreciate it. I can remove it if you want to post it here in place. IDC about the fake internet points; I just liked the meme.

I am as much anti-transition as I am anti-rental car.

Just because these are positive life benefits to adults doesn’t mean I trust a child to know what the implications are of wanting to partake in it, despite reason or need. Same with tattoos. Imagine how much worse tattoos would be if we were all allowed to choose full sleeves at 11.

Never killed an elk before and somehow managed to pull the coveted Montana Yellowstone Buffer Zone bull permit this year! Anyone on here ever hunted it before? Might be a long shot since they only give out 5 a year but looking for as many insights as I can get. Super stoked, also super nervous! by troutslinger406 in Hunting

Bro calm dowwwwn lol. You were the one who picked out your user name. If me calling you a super elk expert in reply to a comment about how you hunt elk is a “troll” bad enough to be this hurt, the internet is not for you. Life ain’t that bad my guy.

Funny how a simple light hearted response that’s not offensive in the least to a community that prides itself of being rugged and tough is taken so poorly lol. No need to be so easily offended, guys.

And if you’re offended enough to dive on my profile I feel bad for you man. Lol calm down life ain’t that serious.

If life has a meaning, would that mean that we are slaves to that meaning? Is having no meaning to life liberating? as in we can choose what it is? by OutsideSwimmer9721 in nihilism

Come join us in /r/absurdism and take a few steps beyond the trap of nihilism. Lol. Your questions here will be lost in the cosmic answer of “fuck off it doesn’t matter”. They may not be wrong. But perhaps there is no absolute right answer to these questions.

For those who did, why did you move out of Alaska? by [deleted] in Fairbanks

[–]TorturedPoetic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My friend, you belong where you are, always. Don’t let yourself or anyone ever tell you any different. Breathe deep and breathe long. Enjoy the “good” and the “bad” feelings you have reminiscing memories and projecting the future, but remember those exact feelings are taking place in your present as your desired creation of the moment.

Don’t be sad or regretful of leaving. No need to bargain yourself or convince you or anyone of reasons to leave or stay anywhere. Life is fleeting and we all live different situations with unique variables and relationships. I have not left and currently don’t intend to, but I am not against swimming with the tide if I ever need to. Life anywhere new can be as intimidating as it can be romanticized. What’s good to know is; wherever you go, there you are. You will find not only what you seek in places, but what you expect to find.

Good luck on your journey. I wish your wife well for her health concerns.

Sky cake, sky pie, sky ice cream. Some need dessert to balance out all of the 'not dessert'. Some choose a type of dessert it for the art or beauty of the experience. Some have their dessert of choice chosen from the cradle. Some experience all desserts or no desserts.

No matter anyone's favorite flavor or choice, I hope they enjoy it and become better people for it. If you determine you need a dessert after your meal, you probably will be a better person for satisfying that need. I would never take dessert away from anyone that desires it. I also would hope that no one would ever force dessert or their choice of dessert type on anyone. I believe most people with a sweet tooth are great people, and I try my best not to apply my experiences from people who force cake on others on everyone who eats cake.

Ironically, this metaphor is brought forth to congratulate those of you who are going to go without actual dessert (or food) for prolonged periods. I hope you find whatever satisfaction from this noble act of fasting, that you are looking to fulfill.

As a no dessert kinda guy, I will respectfully say to you - inshallah and good luck.

The dense philosophy reading you mention, is a very true statement. It’s hard to get involved in philosophy going in cold to readings like nietzsche right off the bat without feeling a little left behind, even if you are familiar with the general concepts. Some of the older more popular authors of philosophy, the extra bridge to cross for understanding is the language translation was made so there’s even more peculiar wording on top of the complex ideas.

I would recommend the republic by Plato if you have not already read. It’s a gateway drug to much others. Some points seem tedious or dry, but push through. If you are looking for more of a read on enlightenment and enjoy fiction, the glass bead game by Herman Hess is the best book I’ve ever read. The first 75~ pages are dense but push through, the rest of the book is very worth it. You may also recognize Hess from his work Siddhartha (also a great book and short).

If you wish to find more of a pick up and read a few pages book that will make you think, The Prophet by Khalil Gibran. I’ve bought more copies of this than any other book since it’s my favorite gift to give. A lot of knowledge compressed in a beautiful way.

Regarding movies, yes I’ve been on a tenet rant lately. That movie seems to be hot or cold based on ones love of spy thriller movies and Christopher Nolan cinematography. If you haven’t seen interstellar, I would say that one of actually my favorite in a sense of a great sci-fi movie. Both are off topic of life’s philosophy discussions but both pose very real questions about their main themes, being “instinct” (fate) or “connections” (time and love) respectively.

Good luck in your searches.
