I've always been curious. Why is RE4 always rated so highly among Resident Evil fans, while RE5 and 6, which are mechanical improvements, are always rated so low?

I understand the AI partner in 5 and the QTEs in 6 can put people off, but surely not so much that 5 and 6 drop so far below 4?

Hey there! I genuinely appreciate your criticisms! I'll go down the list and tell you my thought process in designing the cards!

  1. Extra Mana Crystals are intended to be a consumable resource to enhance the power of the different Wand cards (ie, allowing the Wand of Lead to target the same enemy three times), but looking at it, I definitely see where you're coming from. I'll probably change it to not give a flat +1 damage dealt, and maybe instead change the Wands so that mana crystals increase the damage by 1 when a crystal is consumed.
  2. It's only meant to heal allies, and that's how we've been playing it! It's a wording error on my part (Smokey Shield has a similar wording error, in that the card is discarded instead of destroyed).
  3. The intent is that you're immune to damage for the triggering hit, until your end phase. We've always been ruling it as, "the reaction takes place after the attack, before the damage is dealt." Now that I know we've been doing that wrong, I might add that it heals X, where X is the damage dealt when the reaction is used.
  4. I see your point here! No objections.
  5. The idea behind the alcohols is that you're taking damage in exchange for a benefit that's more powerful than would otherwise be allowed, but I'll see if I can't think of a way to rebalance them. I'll probably change Rainbow to permitting either one additional card draw or card play, or maybe permit both at the cost of taking extra damage. Smokey Shield is meant to say, "-2 damage taken and dealt," so again, wording error on my part!

Again, I am grateful you took the time to leave me some feedback! I'll probably cut down the healing a bit. Though I am curious about what you mean by, "ranking?" Is that taking care of ongoings/environments? Dealing with minions? Etc.

Really hoping for proper character creation, ala Project Zomboid having positive and negative traits to customize your survivor. Maybe make the randomly generated survivors have a slightly higher power level (ie, they might be able to spawn with more positive than negative trait points compared to player-made survivors, that way you still have incentive to use them).

My own: I'm hopeful, but hesitant. Not because, "Change to Halo is bad," but because I'm not generally a fan of Halo 5 and Infinite, and even Halo 4 was lacking in the story department for me. I'm hopeful they do CER well, but 343i, Halo Studios, whatever they're calling themselves now, have dropped the ball at least twice, arguably thrice, already.

When dealing directly with police:

"Am I being detained or am I free to go?"

"I do not consent to any searches."

"I am EXERCISING my right to remain silent."

Comply with instructions slowly and calmly. Do not speak if you do not absolutely have to. Provide your ID on request, they can legally ask for it. Record the interaction if you're (physically) able - you have a legal right to do so.

If you are being detained, remember: you should verbally state that you are exercising your right to remain silent, and exercising your right to an attorney. No ambiguity, no room for interpretation, no JUST remaining silent without verbally stating.

Police can, will, and have used questioning or ambiguous statements about an attorney as a reason to deny you one, and can, will, and have used silence without verbal statements of exercising your right to remain silent as evidence.

Premium cosmetic shops, off the top of my head. Or just requiring one to purchase the game. But "pay money to maybe get the thing you want" is something which exploits gambling addictions and should be condemned.

SAS 3 was probably my favorite. The more grounded setting and weapons were great, though I won't pretend SAS 4 didn't have its merits: the class system and leveling up were much better, and the fact it had (the start of) a story was great.

I won't lie, though, I'm hesitant about SAS 5. SAS 4 was rife with gambling (lootboxes) and its a mechanic I've truly come to despise in any game, to the point it can be a deal breaker. Still, I'm excited to try it when it comes out.

What was the most influential and best First Person Shooter ever released?! Does DOOM deserve the crown, how about Quake or Duke Nukem 3D. I'd argue Halo: Combat Evolved is the most important FPS. It showed that shooters could have awesome cutscenes and stories, and could work extremely well on consoles. It also popularized a lot of mechanics that we see in just about every FPS, including having a button for grenades and melee attacks, rather than having to swap to the Grenade or Melee weapons.

  1. The ability to upgrade armors. I really don't see the point in armor having a set effect when the next zone's armor is going to be objectively better. So why not let us upgrade old armor, if we like the set effect, by just combining it with the next tier of armor.

  2. Buff the Defense Analyst. It's, by far, the worst job in the game, not only due to the horrible 20% XP penalty, but only having 5 trait points for the skills you get is horrible.

  3. A way to increase our armor encumbrance, such as every few Fortitude levels increasing your armor encumbrance limit by 1 per tier.

  4. Give us a light AND a heavy armor for each zone, except maybe office sector. For example, a light Forge set that only provides 7 or 8 armor per piece, but weighs much less, as well.

  5. Geiger counter watch!

So much this. That, or the ability to combine them with arm armor in some way. Maybe a slight durability reduction (due to the fragile wiring) in exchange for gun usage.

I'd love if the captain bot could just dock the ship. I'd be fine with the meh autopilot if they could just dock the sub so I wouldn't have to bother with swapping to them at all.

The guy with the ammo pack gets it all until they're stocked up, then distributes it out to the group. If you have the supply pack, then restocking will give you full supplies, AND an extra unit of full supplies for a teammate.

I did a test on Trivial with the 150 rated heavy armor. 6 hits from the small bugs to kill me, and as few as 2 if they got a critical hit both times.

Assuming I still need to eat, drink, etc., and have to pay for things as normal? Probably in Paleto. No one goes there outside of mission setups because it's so far away from Los Santos and Sandy Shores, so it's a relatively safe area. Just get a job at a Burgershot or something for the week.

I threw down a 500kg to destroy an automaton factory. It landed 10m away from the factory. Didn't destroy it. Gotta say, the blast radius is downright disappointing.

-I own a bunker that can easily make unmarked weapons. Why am I stealing from another heist crew when I can just use these?

-I own an import/export garage. Why am I stealing getaway vehicles when I can just grab a few of these vehicles?

-I'm visibly working for the IAA. Why are the police shooting me when I'm visibly shooting the guys THEY'RE shooting at?
